Snodogz Of Australia is very proud to introduce our Swedish Vallhund dogs. We take a lot of pride in our beautiful breed/show dogs. With the support and expertise of American and Swedish breeders, we are achieving our goals to produce beautiful, strong, confident and endearing dogs. Vallhunds have a deep and rich history as working cattle dogs, but have the temperament that makes wonderful fun family companion dogs. They are also very smart and loyal. Our dogs and puppies are raised in our family home with love and care. There are no kennels here. We breed occasional litters with emphasis on health, diversity and especially temperament. With thanks to the generosity of our American associate, we have recently imported our new stud dog. He was sired by a champion stud dog from Sweden and has his first puppies on the ground now. We bring a lifetime of animal husbandry expertise and competitive drive to the show world. Our passion and endeavour is small in that we breed puppies for quality, not quantity. Performance and trainability are standard traits with our breed. Genetic diversity is a high priority and subsesquently guarantees strong healthy puppies for years of fun and friendship. We look forward to challenging the status quo, both here and overseas, and have exciting plans for 2024 and beyond. Please contact us for a chat about our lovely Swedish Vallhunds.

Established in 1988 under prefix Midas and then Vallarity in 2004, we are situated in the rural, central North Island on a certified organic farm. With acres of land to roam, streams to swim in, orchards to explore and woodland access, their days are never boring. Our Breeding dogs are health tested and genetically diversity tested with UC Davis, USA before being bred. While the Swedish Vallhund is a robust breed, we err on the side of caution to ensure that we, and our buyers, have a healthy puppy with a generous life expectancy. Our Vallhunds will be found competing in dog sports, on the farm herding cattle/sheep, in family homes, in Search and Rescue and as Therapy/Support dogs. Some have saved their humans, with one recieving a National award for life saving. But most importantly, they are much loved family members. So, this is a versatile breed and able to meet the expectations of most people wanting a loyal and clownish companion. Once we know the requirements for our puppies, we evaluate their temperaments, during the 1st eight weeks, to suit the lifestyle they will be heading to. Check our website for all the latest news, or feel free to contact us.

Owning a vallhund was a long held dream of mine, so once I was in a position to do so, I started my hunt. I acquired my first Vallhund, Arche, from Maroki Kennels in New Zealand. Arche has been an absolutely amazing ambassador for the breed. I honestly could not have asked for a better bitch. A well rounded, social, stable girl, who steals hearts and kisses wherever she goes and is a joy to own. Since then, we have added to our Vallhund family with further imported bloodlines. Our dogs have proven themselves in the show rings and are much loved family members. All our puppies are raised following the Puppy Culture Program and we are passionate about raising well rounded, versatile puppies. Please feel free to contact me for any information on the breed, If I cant help with your request, I will be more than happy to pass you on to others who can. We are always open to meeting new people, and sharing the joy of the Västgötaspets!

Over many years I have watched Swedish Vallhunds at various shows and researched the breed for several years. I made the decision in 2016 to investigate welcoming a Vallhund into our home, so the journey began. Our first family member came from New Zealand from Osuno. Vallhunds and German Shepherds are amazing together. Our Vallhunds love to play with the Shepherds. At shows and wherever we take our Vallhund they are happy and loves to mix with any other breed of dog around. Nothing bothers them. They love meeting people and always warn us when someone is coming down the long drive often before the GSD's do. I am sure at times these little balls of energy think they are German Shepherds with short legs. They love to explore and check out everything and are such happy dogs to have around. Looking forward to growing our family of Vallhunds, we now have Titan and Annie to join our show team. Like our German Shepherds we do all the health testing available hip and elbow x-rays and a full DNA profile. We are part of the Swedish Vallhund Diversity testing program. Our Vallhunds are regular visitors to Bunnings and around our local shops and markets. They are an amazing breed and can be involved in many activities, lure coursing, scent work, Agility, tricks, Rally to name a few.
