My dogs are all treated as family pets and love people and are well socialised with people and other dogs. Litters are well planned from beautiful, healthy and fun loving parents and are raised in our home until old enough for the outdoors. Pups are H.C and L2Hga Clear through clear DNA tested parents. We usually have one litter every few years.

Growing up in a family of avid dog lovers I spent most of my time with my Grans Pugs and the working dogs we had. But through the countless weekends of shows and handling i soon made great friends and met/handled some great animals. Along the way developing a fascination and tremendous love for the Stafford (I think spending so much time next to gorgeous staffies in the group specials classes may have contributed)Then after seeing my first blue I was so mesmerised by her colour and the way she seemed to shimmer, I had to have one and after some searching, research and patience now I we are lucky enough to have been owned by a gorgeous blue/brindle Shelby and her amazing daughters & now granddaughters. And yes they do own us, they have the run of the place and with that cheeky Staffy smile they get whatever they want. I couldn't be happier to promote Staffs and carry on my grans great hard work in breeding quality dogs to a standard. To strengthen our beautiful breed and keep Gilgai kennels reputation strong something Gilgai has always strived for. I have always been amazed by the tenacity and overwhelming presence of the Stafford and will never cease to be amazed by how much they are willing to love and give always. I have been breeding and showing for 27 years , not showing anymore as it is very bitchy.
So I am very passionate about the standard, what does that mean ?

Years ago a man, wrote a book on the standard with diagrams and measurements, his named and book HN BEILBY - THE STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER.

So having studied the standard I try and stick to it, as it was written for a reason

Not bagging any breeder , but most don’t stick to the standard or even know it .

So my born in my whelping area next to my bedroom. I sleep there for 2 weeks a til I feel they are safe .

My dogs all run free , not in run or crates , visiting is most welcome.

Puppies are socialised with my older dogs and end up on my bed with the older dogs, they learn the doggy door and can go out and play whenever they want.

They come vaccinated, micro chipped, wormed and with pedigree papers also with 30 days pet insurance for your assurance.
