Our dogs enjoy life on our 20acre property at Lower Inman Valley (near Victor Harbor). My dogs are family companions first and foremost therefore a sound temperament is a must. At Macumazahn we have 2 litters per year, with puppies available to the discerning Ridgeback lover. All breeding stock is hip and elbow xrayed, full Breed DNA, heart certified, along with other screen checks. I breed selectively and lovingly raise my babies in a home environment using the "Puppy Culture" method, with all the care and attention that is necessary for happy, healthy & well socialised puppies. We purchased our first Rhodesian Ridgeback 'Jera' in 1992 and quickly fell in love with her and this very loyal breed in general. Jera was our foundation bitch and had her first litter in 1995. That was the start of a long journey under the 'Sahwira' prefix. We have always bred for good temperament and conformation. We have bred, loved and owned many champions. Our dogs have always been well socialised and obedience trained and have been a big part of family life and loved by all. Many of our Ridgebacks have found their forever homes with families with children who love them dearly. All of our breeding stock are xrayed and DNA tested. We are located in the beautiful Perth Hills on 5 acres . Our aim is to breed sound Ridgebacks that are true to type. All of our dogs are tested for DM, hip and elbow scored and full DNA profile completed before breeding. Whether choosing a Ridgeback for a family companion, for show or other discipline we believe a sound temperament is vitally important. Our Ridgebacks live in the house with us and are an important part of our family. Our puppies are raised in a family environment in a busy house around young children and exposed to as many everyday experiences as possible. Puppies occasionally available to select homes.

A small select kennel breeding for quality, where temperament and health are just as important as beauty. We health test all breeding stock and adhere to the strict rules and regulations put in place of the various breed club we belong to. We do have available delightful, friendly, sweet temperament, quality female puppies with excellent ridges ready for their new homes. They have had 2 sets of Vaccinations, micro chipped, fully wormed, registered with ANKC. Both parents are hip and elbow x-rayed grade A. DNA health tested for genetic diseases both clear non-carriers. Our puppies are raised in the home. Temperament and health are a priority. All of our puppies and adult dogs are well socialised and have great personalities and temperaments. Bred for their temperaments and soundness, our puppies are great with children and will make a great new addition to anyone’s family. All our puppies will be on limited pedigree papers, even though they are show quality puppies, we do prefer our dogs to be part of a family environment. Our price includes two vet checks, two vaccinations and their Micro-Chipping, a strict worming program and our health and hereditary guarantee. They will also leave us with 6 weeks pet insurance cover with Petcover and a puppy information pack. Reluctantly, I am looking for a new forever home for my gorgeous Zuri (Australian Ch Rijstone Wyndrunhrs Rubys Gift (AI)) She is 6 years old, fit, trim and very healthy, has recently had a litter of pups and been desexed. She has a big outgoing cheeky personality. She is used to being with other ridgebacks and has lived inside and outside but now prefers to be inside and being amongst daily family life. She will either need the company of another ridgeback or people who are mainly home. She is very affectionate and craves attention. She is crate and toilet trained. She loves going for walks. She is excellent with people and children and may ok with other breeds of dogs if introduced slowly. No cats and Zuri has never been around one. Having made a decision as to which of my gorgeous boys I am going to go on with from my last (after 40 years) Ridgeback litter, I am making Doc (Isilwane I Am The Future) available for sale. He is a 12 month old very handsome Liver nose boy, from fully tested parents. He has been rotating between my place (semi rural) and a good friend's (suburban surrounds), he is lead trained (slip collar and lead - no harnesses), crate trained, house trained, socialised with lots of other breeds including his Staffy girlfriend Millie, whippets, German Shepherds. He has also been shown with success (happy to consider someone who'd like to bond with him and take him out again - he doesn't like to be rushed). He is very well behaved in the house and was easily taught the boundary of the kitchen when goes on his visits, knows what "on your bed" means and loves bounding onto the bed in the morning for a smooch. Good with kids. Hasn't been around cats. He would do really really well with a companion but also fine if on his own with great humans in his life. This is not a rescue/rehouse situation. He is for sale and we have put a great deal of time and effort into making sure he has the best training (as has his brother) ready for when I made this decision. He is up to date on worming and vaccinations. Happy to do the move to a new home over time with visits and sleepovers to acclimatise him to a new home & family.
