Ballahond is a small select kennel, established in 1984. With a focus on producing quality and soundness in both conformation and temperment, Ballahond Rhodesian Ridgebacks have attained awards of Best in Show and RU-Best in Show at Specialty and All Breed levels, as well as acknowledgement and titles in Obedience, Rally-O and Endurance trials.

We are a family of Rhodesian Ridgeback owners of long standing who show and breed their dogs to continue over four decades of selective breeding and winning in the show ring. We are not commercial breeders, but Rhodesian Ridgeback enthusiasts, and consider our hobby a lifelong passion. We pride ourselves on soundness and excellent temperament. We have consistently shown a number of Rhodesian Ridgebacks to their titles, and won a number of In Show and In Group awards at both All Breed, Group and Specialty Levels. We did set multiple original Australian records over 30 years ago! Of note over the recent showing years we have won challenges under numerous breed specialists whose opinions we greatly appreciate. Notable wins include Ziggy winning Runner up to Best in Group under breed Specialist Myron Arthur and Loki winning Best of Breed at Canberra Royal., Tempe taking out Best Brown Nose Bitch in Show at the 2017 and Gypsy winning Opposite Baby in Show NSW Rhodesian Ridgeback Specialty Show. We pride ourselves on having quality ridgebacks that display all characteristics of the breed. We offer a lifetime of support, a Magombe owners Facebook group, mentoring if you are interested in showing or starting out in the breed, and best of all pups raised in a family environment. We are Addam Barter and Lee Fletcher, the partnership that brought our Ridgeback and Rottweiler Family together and forms Juzival. A small select kennel breeding for quality, where temperament and health are just as important as beauty. We have both been involved with dogs all our lives and strive to protect and keep producing excelllence in our chosen breeds. We health test all breeding stock and adhere to the strict rules and regulations put in place of the various breed club we belong to. All our puppies are raised in a loving family environment and leave for their new families with extensive puppy packs and on going support. Marandela Rhodesian Ridgebacks we are situated on 10 acres in the beautiful Bonville Valley, just south of Coffs Harbour, NSW. Our foundation dogs Ch Chilolo CBA Ruby Image(AI)ET RUBISS and Ch Chilolo MCR Tao on Fire(AI) ET. TD BISS were bred by widely respected Ridgeback breeder/International judge Rosemary Green. Marandela's first litter produced Ch Marandela Saltwater Pearl(AI) who thrilled us by winning Baby Puppy in Show at the National RR Show in Brisbane 2014. Ruby's 2nd litter produced Ch Marandela Wot Happens in Vegas who won Best in Show at the Victorian Rhodesian Ridgeback Specialty 2019. Our dogs are Conformation Champions, have Tracking titles and dabble in Lure Coursing and Agility. Puppies are raised on a premium diet, in a healthy environment with plenty of space for supervised exercise/play. They are regularly checked for dermoid sinus, Vet checked,microchipped, vaccinated, wormed regularly and well socialised prior to going to their new homes. We follow Puppy Culture Protocols. Zambuana Lodge is very proud to announce an outstanding new litter of Rhodesian Ridgeback puppies born on the 24th of November 2024. All of our puppies and adult dogs are well socialised and have great personalities and temperaments. Bred for their temperaments and soundness, our puppies are great with children and will make a great new addition to anyone’s family. All our puppies will be on limited pedigree papers, even though they are show quality puppies, we do prefer our dogs to be part of a family environment. Our price includes two vet checks, two vaccinations and their Micro-Chipping, a strict worming program and our health and hereditary guarantee. They will also leave us with 6 weeks pet insurance cover with Petcover and a puppy information pack. We do have available delightful, friendly, sweet temperament, quality female puppies with excellent ridges ready for their new homes. They have had 2 sets of Vaccinations, micro chipped, fully wormed, registered with ANKC. Both parents are hip and elbow x-rayed grade A. DNA health tested for genetic diseases both clear non-carriers. Our puppies are raised in the home. Temperament and health are a priority. Reluctantly, I am looking for a new forever home for my gorgeous Zuri (Australian Ch Rijstone Wyndrunhrs Rubys Gift (AI)) She is 6 years old, fit, trim and very healthy, has recently had a litter of pups and been desexed. She has a big outgoing cheeky personality. She is used to being with other ridgebacks and has lived inside and outside but now prefers to be inside and being amongst daily family life. She will either need the company of another ridgeback or people who are mainly home. She is very affectionate and craves attention. She is crate and toilet trained. She loves going for walks. She is excellent with people and children and may ok with other breeds of dogs if introduced slowly. No cats and Zuri has never been around one. Having made a decision as to which of my gorgeous boys I am going to go on with from my last (after 40 years) Ridgeback litter, I am making Doc (Isilwane I Am The Future) available for sale. He is a 12 month old very handsome Liver nose boy, from fully tested parents. He has been rotating between my place (semi rural) and a good friend's (suburban surrounds), he is lead trained (slip collar and lead - no harnesses), crate trained, house trained, socialised with lots of other breeds including his Staffy girlfriend Millie, whippets, German Shepherds. He has also been shown with success (happy to consider someone who'd like to bond with him and take him out again - he doesn't like to be rushed). He is very well behaved in the house and was easily taught the boundary of the kitchen when goes on his visits, knows what "on your bed" means and loves bounding onto the bed in the morning for a smooch. Good with kids. Hasn't been around cats. He would do really really well with a companion but also fine if on his own with great humans in his life. This is not a rescue/rehouse situation. He is for sale and we have put a great deal of time and effort into making sure he has the best training (as has his brother) ready for when I made this decision. He is up to date on worming and vaccinations. Happy to do the move to a new home over time with visits and sleepovers to acclimatise him to a new home & family.
