Wolfreign is a small kennel located in Melbourne, Vic. Our main focus is for the preservation of our beloved Akita breed. We want to ensure that we breed towards the breed standard and also importantly focusing on health and temperament. Coming from a professional dog training background over the last decade, we have owned and worked with Akitas and many other primitive breeds during this time. We wanted to step into the world of breeding to assist in the preservation efforts for the Australian gene pool to breed healthy, sound and typey Akitas. Being only a small kennel, we will only breed with the intention to retain something of quality back for ourselves, so we won't be breeding frequently. We want our future generation dogs to always be better than the previous in all aspects. We also took an extra step and imported two lovely, typey, beautiful natured female Akitas all the way from Russia from reputable, registered breeders. Our girls have been hip/elbow scored with excellent results, clear of PRA and certified by a veterinary eye specialist. Our girls have also had their patellas assessed while under sedation and clear of luxating patellas. We go through a thorough screening process for our potential puppy buyers as we want to ensure only the best, most responsible, committed and suitable homes are available to our Wolfreign pups. We have 1 very sweet little sable man available (show potential). The little boy is Mr Personality and is such an outgoing, loving little man. He is just an absolute little sweetheart. We had all intentions of running this little man on in the show ring however due to significant health issues we have had to reconsider. He has had both his 1st and 2nd vaccinations along with being microchipped, wormed, vaccinated, health checked and registered on Limited registration with Dogs NSW. He is also toilet trained and to date has never toileted in the house. I have been showing & breeding for over 40 years mainly with our English Springer Spaniels and most recently with Tibetan Spaniels.
