I am a small breeder located in Tasmania. From time to time i have puppies for sale. My dogs are housed in my home and all puppies are brought up as one of the family. They are socialised, and loved. I have some lovely blacks, black and silvers and of course the traditional pepper and salt that i breed from occasionally. They only ever go to the very best forever, inside homes. Merinschnauz is based near Warwick in South East Qld, our pups are raised in our home and our dogs live normal family pet lives and enjoy various outings. Our ethics are centered on having respect and responsibility for all the animals that we breed, we choose to bring them into this world and we are responsible for making sure they will have the best possible life. To ensure we are breeding the healthiest possible Miniature Schnauzers we use genetic testing, researching our dogs ancestral history and we do not support inbreeding practices. Our goal is to increase genetic diversity and general long term heath of the dogs we breed. We are committed to ongoing training and learning about our dogs health, behaviours and nutritional requirements - we make decisions for them, they need to be good ones. We work very hard in the eight plus weeks that the puppies are with us, socializing with other dogs and people, toilet and crate training as well as general manners with humans and their litter mates. Potential families must be prepared to have phone or face to face conversations with us and build a strong relationship around communication, we will not respond to messages or texts. We offer extensive support to our puppy families both at hand-over and after the puppy goes home, particularly around training and nutrition. If at an any time in that puppies life the family are unable to keep their pup, it can be returned to us.

We have owned Schnauzers since 1992 starting with a miniature schnauzer. We then obtained our first standard schnauzer in 1993. Our dogs have always been family pets and participated in obedience training as well as showing. We have always had a very keen interest in the breed. Now our family has grown up, giving us time to concentrate on showing and to start our breeding program. Our foundation dogs are from imported European lines, all have wonderful temperaments as do their parents. Our aim is to breed quality Schnauzers following the European lines with good temperaments & soundness being a priority.  Our Miniatures have current eye certificates. Enquires by phone or email.
