We have been involved with Pulis since 1992. Our breeding program has endeavoured to incorporate the world's best lines by selectively breeding from imported Champion lines from the US, Hungary and the UK to expand the available gene pool in Australia. Our aim is to breed healthy happy Pulis that maintain the unique appearance, breed type and personality that make this breed a treasured sheepdog and companion. We utilise current research when planning each litter, and our puppies are lovingly raised in a home environment. Our Pulis have been widely awarded by local, interstate and international judges as exceptional examples of the breed, with multiple having Royal Best In Show and Best in Show titles, making them some of the top winning Pulis in the country. My love for the Puli began in 1990 when I purchased Carrie, (Feketekutya Toffee) my beautiful black masked, silver (fako) girl. I was looking for a breed with intelligence, outgoing nature and willingness to learn for my work in the film industry and, I was instantly smitten with this delightful little dog. It was not until after her death that I discovered how difficult it was going to be to buy another Puli here in Australia that was not black in colour. After many years in fruitless search throughout Australia, I imported a female from Sweden. Since then, genetics have also been added from amongst the best breeders in Hungary and we breed the fako colour as well as black. My dogs are raised on a working farm in the Yarra Valley in a family environment with children and a variety of livestock. All breeding stock has current hip and eye certificates. Our dogs have been successfully shown and also compete in dog sports such as agility and flyball. Advice is freely given on all aspects of the care, grooming and training of Pulik. We selectively breed multi-purpose Pulis excelling in conformation shows, obedience, herding, agility and family companions. All dogs included in our breeding program are hip x-rayed and eye tested. We breed and exhibit both black and white Pulis. Our dogs are raised in a family environment and are well socialised before they leave for their new homes. We have just the one beautiful black puppy looking for his new family. He is gentle, outgoing, confident and playful. We have been breeding our beautiful type of elegant GSP for more than 50 years. We compete in dogs sports to prove our dogs’ soundness, intelligence and more importantly their temperament and trainability. Our litters have many generations of breeding lines that have been exceptionally successful competing in many of the dog sports. Because we are dog trainers, we pay special attention to socialisation, frequent handling, exploring different environments and varied experiences to ensure a confident, friendly, outgoing nature. Pups are raised to encourage easy house training, not to jump all over you and wants to come when called. As a vet I ensure the best healthy start to life. Pups are wormed, heart worm prevention started, micro-chipped and vaccinated. They are kept at correct lean weight to minimise future joint problems. Makapoynt has welcomed the safe arrival of 9 beautiful baby GSPs! These pups were born 15th October and we have gone with a Halloween theme! Kooribinjal Bambi has had a magnificent litter of speckled pups born 15th Nov 24 To Roobluu Jasper . This is their second litter together and their first litter of pups were exceptional . We are a small farm based breeding facility and our we dogs are an extension.
