Located west of Rosewood, Queensland, El Taj is a breeder of Weimaraners and Tenterfield Terriers. MY aim is to breed companions that can do what you please with style. Philosophically choosing sound minds and bodies for my breeding program. it is imperative that my dogs have good bodies but firstly, they must be able to be loved. I have a small select kennel based on the Sunshine Coast. I have been breeding and showing dogs for over 35 years (Tenterfield Terriers for over 15 years). I strive for quality healthy Tenterfields. Charbon Kennels has had great success in the show ring with Best in Show at specialty shows and Runner up Best in show at a recent National show. Many Best of breed wins at Royal and all breed championship shows along with many class in group and show wins. My foundation bitch was the first Grand Champion in QLD (Grand Ch Fernlodge Super Sarah) Breeder of the second & third Grand Champions in QLD (Grand Ch Charbon The Duke and Grand Ch Charbon Chase The Ace) Both are sons of Grand Ch Fernlodge Super Sarah. All my Tenterfields are DNA tested for hereditary diseases. Stud dogs available to approved bitches. Puppies occasionally available for show or pet.

Ardchattan is only a small, but very select kennel, breeding for quality rather than quantity. In breeding to the standard, conformation, movement, attitude and temperament is paramount. All ArdchattanTenterfields are PLL & CHG clear. I have had a long association with the breed. My parents having bred Mini Foxies for over 20 years whilst I was growing up and I have invariably had one since. In the past, over the years, I have had a significant interest in the genetics of breeding, Stud Cattle, Arabian Horses,Rottweilers and now Tenterfields. It was only natural then that in retirement I would again be drawn to breeding dogs again. In the last few years I have spent considerable time on the road, visiting breeders, researching the breed and the various bloodlines. To my minds eye, I have been attracted to and have incorporated the bloodlines of Skalawag, Nudimah, Gumhaven and Tenerello. My current litter of pups, which incorporate these lines, have vindicated those choices. I take this interest very seriously and derive a great deal of pleasure from it. In limited showing Ardchattan has had success in Best in Group, Class in Group, Best of Breed and Challenge wins. Skalawag Oh So Debonair (Chip) is tragically no longer with us. Our new sire Renaylbysh Hes A Winner (Finn) is proving to be a worthwhile replacement. His progeny have been well sought after.
