Hawksdale Kennel was establish in 2004 with the purchase of our foundation bitch "BAWTRY PARK MY MELODIE". Melodie sadly passed over to the rainbow bridge earlier this year 4 months off her 14th birthday.

We are a small kennel located at the foothills of the Darling Scarp in Perth WA. Since then we have imported 3 dogs from Norway and Sweden.

Our Newest arrival is Moonstruck Walnut (imp Swe). He was campaigned by his breeders in Sweden and is a Amsterdam Junior World Winner 2014 and also qualified and shown at Crufts 2015 before flying out to Australia! I cannot thank the Moonstruck Kennel enough for sending me this crazy but wonderful dog!

Wally was campaigned in NSW by Gillian Holmes (Blacqlable Kennel) in 2017 to many BOB and In Group wins as well as a BIS at the Canberra Gun Dog Show under breed specialist Mrs Carina Ostman from Sweden.

Our dogs are very much part of the family as well as active show dogs.

Whilst primarily breeders of Golden Retrievers we are enjoying a little diversion into Flat Coats.Our first litter along with Abbey's Arangold litter in NZ has already resulted in 6 Champions, a Royal BOB winner and a CCD RN and CD. Abbey Rose won BOB at the Brisbane Royal Show in 2019 and then had her final litter to Almanza Double Action Dark Kiss (Imp Sweden). Abbey has so far 7 Champions to her name including "Aust Supreme Ch Alubyc The Artful Dodger" We have a litter planned fo late 2024. UPDATE: We will mate Annie, Abbey Rose's beautiful daughter, "Aust Ch CIE Ch A2O Ch Alubyc Orphan Black" to Merlin "Aust Supreme Ch Kellick Criminal Intent"

She was Brisbane Royal BoB in her first show and went on to gain her Championship title easily. Luna attained 13 ANKC titles across 6 disciplines (Conformation, Obedience, Rally Obedience, Scent Work, Retrieving & Endurance). Brew (Dual Ch (TS) Grand Ch (TS) Malunbea Disorderly Conduct CCD ET SWV SWM SWI SWC SWX) is demonstrating he not only has outstanding good looks and temperament but very clever with 15 titles in Scent Work, Obedience, Track and Search, and Endurance. Our little Kiwi (Dual Ch (TS) Arangold Backup Plan Imp NZL SWE ET) is not far behind with earning Endurance, Track & Search and Scent Work titles between motherly duties. Miss Star, the baby of the team, is coming along nicely having gained her Show Champion and her first Scent work title. With her linage and smarts she has an exciting future ahead. I have owned Flat Coated Retrievers for 20 years and previously worked as a Veterinary Nurse. Our dogs compete acorss conformation, rally, obedience and more recently retrieving. They have passed hip, elbow and eye screening with results lower than breed average. They love to work and play and are wonderful companions for our children.

Bloom (Peppatreeohtheplacesyoullgo) received 3 passes to earn her Rally Novice title in 2024. She won bitch challenge and runner up best of breed at The Melbourne Royal 2024 as well as reserve bitch challenge as a puppy at the Flat Coated Retriever Club of Victoria Championship Show in 2022.

Blackregal is a small but select kennel, our aim is to produce sound happy Flat coats that are part of a family.

We thank Judy kennon Wray for our beautifull foundation lines, Grand ch Bushman Burnt to Ashes, Ch Bushman Miss Fire, Ch Bushman Fire Storm CD. (IID), without these good bloodines "Blackregal" would not be today.
In 2013 we imported Phoenix Firebird Of Black Brianta from Prague and in March 16 we imported U Are Too Cute Black Brianta. Danika to increase our bloodlines.
In August 2016 we introduced our new boy from Poweron in S.A. whos sire is from Black Brianta as well giving us our lovely new lines.
