We aim to breed engaging, calm, beautiful and well structured standard poodles with great diversity and health. Our poodles live in our home and walk daily with our children to school, where they regularly socialise with children and dogs. They walk in the bush and the beach and have full and rich lives. Our dogs have competed well in the show ring and in dog sports, performed as therapy animals, and Assistance Dogs, reflecting the versatility of standard poodles. And of course they make great pets. All parents are hip scored, and have been tested for heritable diseases, where tests exist. Puppies will generally be sold on limited register. I am a member of Dogs Tasmania. We are not expecting or planning any litters in the near future. We are a small registered breeder of Standard Poodles and live just outside Exeter in Northern Tasmania. Our focus is primarily on health, temperament and genetic diversity and while you may occasionally find us at a dog show we are more likely to be at home with our dogs and other animals. Our dogs live in our house and are beloved members of our family. We breed predominantly black, blue, apricot and cream but are hoping to add silver to the mix as well. Our dogs are all DNA tested (through Embark) and all pups will come with their own complete Embark DNA report. We also do genetic diversity testing through Betterbred and UCDavis on all our dogs that we may potentially use for breeding. We will only have one or two litters a year. Our pups are raised in our home and are socialised with our family and friends, with our other dogs, with our cat and to lots of different noises and experiences. They will be groomed regularly to become familiar with the grooming regime before they leave for their new homes.

Our dogs are negative for all testable diseases / conditions Our puppies will be raised on a raw diet all puppies will undergo Early Neurological Stimulation and Early Scent Introduction and be raised following the puppy culture program. I compete my dogs in a range of dog sports from lure coursing, trick trials, rally O, obedience and agility. They are also shown in the conformation ring. Regretfully, I am looking for a very special home for my 16 month old girl. I had kept her, hoping for my last breeding girl. (I'm getting older). This girl has not developed as I hoped, being lean and rangy and a little too long for her height. Overall, she has not met my expectations of the breed, so I have had her desexed ready to be placed. What you need to know. "Cher" thinks she is a puppy and plays rough with other dogs. She can be super loving, then jump on you. She learns easily, but it didn't help that I returned to work when she was a puppy. Cher doesn't mind being bathed, but the dryer still scares her. She is well behaved on the grooming table but panics a bit when being picked up or put down from the table. Cher weighs 21 kilos and is hard to fatten up as she is so energetic. She has been on a high calorie / high fat diet for 3 months. Cher will follow you around, step in front of you, spin in circles when excited, and generally be a clown. Cher has spent most of her time with her canine relatives, either in air conditioned kennels, or running in our day yards, when not with us. She is used to cattle passing within metres of her. A mature non reactive companion who knows the ropes would be an advantage. Hoping to settle her locally, so that she can come back if it doesn't work out.
