We started in the breed in the 1980's with a rescue Afghan and after that life has never been the same. We are currently showing some young imported stock. Our emphasis is on correct dogs without exaggeration, where function is the number one priority. We also lure course our dogs.

Suliman kennels is located in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia, owned and bred by Kerin, Kerry & Rachel Hutchings. We have been involved with afghan hounds since 1973, and have since succeeded in selectively breeding afghans which have sound temperament, elegance & substance. We have enjoyed much success over the last 3 decades of showing, and in recent years have bred, owned and handled Australia’s #1 Afghan Hound for 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019. Through hard work and dedication to the breed, we have accomplished more than 100 Best in Shows and 50 reserve Best in Shows, consistently winning at some of Australia’s most prestigious all breed shows. However, our success has not just been for us here in Australia, but also to those around the globe, having bred many champions and best in show winners in over 8 different countries. We at Suliman welcome all newcomers to the breed, as well as those who have had and shared the love for Afghan Hounds for many years. We occasionally have puppies available and pride ourselves on providing lifetime support and guidance to all those who purchase a Suliman puppy, whether that be as a loving member of your pet or show home family. At Firezan we vaccinate at 6 weeks and 12 weeks with C2i vaccination. Puppies are wormed at 2,4,6,8 weeks. She is microchipped and is registered with the NSW companion registry. All puppies are registered with DogsNSW on limited register papers. Puppies will take to their new home a informative puppy booklet which includes diet information, health testing and vaccination details etc We raise all of our puppies in the house and have wide exposure to noises and other animals in the household and outside while exploring our property. We have a black and white male available - ready in 8 weeks. We breed every litter with the intention to retain a pup for show/breeding and as a result quality puppies are available to pet homes. We do not breed to supply a pet market. Puppies can go to their new homes from 8 weeks of age. - All pet puppies will be registered with DOGS NSW on the Limited Register. - Wormed at 2, 4, 6 & 8 weeks of age. - Vet checked and vaccinated (C3) at 7 weeks. - Microchipped and registered both on NSW Companion Animal and Australasian Animal Registry databases. - All puppies take home a comprehensive puppy pack including 1.5kg bag of Royal Canin Mini Puppy and bowl, blanket with familiar smells, toys, and folder with all documents, photos and copies of parents health certs. - 30 days free Trupanion pet insurance. Puppies are born and raised inside our home so are used to all household activities and noises. They are well socialised with large and small dogs and a range of farm animals, have had nails trimmed regularly, been bathed, groomed and trained to use an artificial grass "Pet Potty Mat". We can arrange transport nationwide by air ex CBR or by road in NSW/VIC with GTE Dog transport. Pet puppies are $2,000 on the Limited Register - Main register POA.
