Masgriff is proud to welcome this new breed Miniature American Shepherd to our family with our little Griffons. Although I have followed this breed in the USA for some time, until it was accepted by the ANKC we then decided to go ahead and add this gorgeous breed to our home as they fit our lifestyle perfectly. We purchased four from the USA in 2023 to be the foundation of our program. AM. CH. We are set on 100acres just North of Bundaberg our dogs are part of our family foremost. We are very involved with our dogs whether it be working out on farm with us, training, attending kids sports or just coming down the beach for a fish. All our dogs are hip & elbow scored and are DNA tested for hereditary diseases including CDDY & NADS. After over 30 years with Australian Shepherds, 2024 saw our first involvement in this delightful breed. Small in stature but packed with personality, MAS are a perfect combination of the brains and beauty of the Australian Shepherd in a smaller package 2025 sees some exciting plans hopefully come to fruition Stay tuned !

We take pride that we don't just breed fantastic family pets but also put in the extra effort to test our dogs' soundness of mind and body against the breed standard by actively competing in sanctioned ANKC events both in the conformation ring (show ring) and performance ring (i.e. herding, agility, lure coursing, etc). This is in addition to DNA testing, annual eye examinations and hip and elbow scoring that our dogs undergo PRIOR to any breedings taking place. We worked closely with our parent breed club in the United States, MASCUSA to be instrumental in the recognition of the breed in Australia. We are one of the first breeders of MAS in Australia and look forward to sharing this wonderful breed downunder. We add the Miniature American Shepherd under our already successful prefix ‘Skyefall’, following the same key principles of breeding with integrity and for the betterment and development of the breed. Temperament, type, movement and health will always be at the forefront of our breeding decisions as we further develop this breed, importing dogs and frozen semen from USA. We believe in the true type of the Australian Shepherd in miniature and have developed a breeding program working with top breeders in the United States to develop our own line of MAS. We will continue to import the best Miniature American Shepherds into Australia over the next few years. Pet and Show puppies will be available - enquiries welcome. I have loved and admired "Miniature American Shepherds" for over 30 years, and it has always been on my bucket list to import and breed these beautiful dogs here in New Zealand. It is a long and expensive process to import these dogs from USA - do all the genetic testing + Hips Elbows and Eyes, I now have some beautiful foundation dogs to begin my lines of Miniature American Shepherds. I bought my first dogs for New Zealand in 2018. All my dogs are AKC registered MAS. I have a co-home breeder in Australia as well. We share 7 imported USA dogs. Puppies available

Beautiful black tri natural bobtail male available to active sports/pet home on a not for breeding contract. 5 1/2 months old. Son of the only winning Best in Group and R/up Best in Show MAS in the country. Beautifully marked, sweet and cuddly boy. He would be staying here only I have to reduce my dog numbers. Full DNA, (parents both have A hips and clear elbows), fully vaccinated, toilet trained, lead trained, sleeps all night, recalls beautifully and waits at the gate until he is called through. Maggie -Rae 15weeks I have bit more off than I can chew right now keeping two puppies with everything else I have got going on. Maggie is exceptional in every way super loving very placid crate trained, toilet trained walks on lead. Loves the beach just being with you really. Oh and tummy rubs are for sure her fave too.
