Skyefall Kennels is proud to welcome the new breed Miniature American Shepherd (MAS) to Australia! We worked closely with our parent breed club in the United States, MASCUSA to be instrumental in the recognition of the breed in Australia. We are one of the first breeders of MAS in Australia and look forward to sharing this wonderful breed downunder.

We add the Miniature American Shepherd under our already successful prefix ‘Skyefall’, following the same key principles of breeding with integrity and for the betterment and development of the breed.
Temperament, type, movement and health will always be at the forefront of our breeding decisions as we further develop this breed, importing dogs and frozen semen from USA.

We believe in the true type of the Australian Shepherd in miniature and have developed a breeding program working with top breeders in the United States to develop our own line of MAS. We will continue to import the best Miniature American Shepherds into Australia over the next few years.

I fell in love with these little dogs, both minis and toys during my numerous visits to the United States. Could not believe the breed was not here at that time and so begun the search and import process

I imported my first (AKC) American Kennel Club registered bitch Morgan arriving In Nov 2020. Second two Harlow and Raff (sire of 3 dogs currently showing in Vic) in April 2022 and other bitches Lynley, Kaia and Ari from New Zealand. I am very proud of my dogs and their pedigrees and hope to further improve the breed here using imported semen from Champion lines. I have done full genetic testing of all my breeding dogs, full panel, CDDY, NAD, Hip/elbow and eyes

I am a small breeder of only MAS, living on 100 acres where we breed and raise cattle and cutting horses. My dogs are all with me either inside while I do bookwork or out on the farm enjoying running around freely and swimming in the dams. I breed both show and agility prospects, but focus on temperament then type. My dogs are low drive and do not need excessive exercise

In February my newest additions, Replay and Tango arrived to my farm from France. Here they join my large farm family of horses, rescue goats and chickens and my White Swiss Shepherds that I breed, show and trial under the prefix Diamondswiss. I certainly need a bigger couch!

Replay and Tango are bred by the wonderful Bois Des Ternes kennels in France. Nathalie has been breeding Swiss and Miniature American Shepherds for years. Her dogs certainly stand out with their beauty, type, amazing coats and their temperament. I was so grateful to be trusted with such stunning examples of the breed. Nathalie confided that she had been watching me closely for years and could see how happy my dogs were at home and for her it was not a difficult decision.

Replay Swanee River Du Bois Des Ternes has been very successful in the show ring in Europe. So far his accomplishments include:

Tango is a stunning girl with a thick, full coat and lots of drive but as I write this, she is snuggled on the couch! Like Replay, she is a very good example of the breed, looking very much like a small Aussie Shepherd. I have exciting plans for breeding a small number of quality and unique litters that won't be found anywhere else in Australia.

I have fallen in love with this breed, after owning Australian Shepherds for over 20 years. We are waiting for our imports to arrive sometime this year. And look forward to campaigning our new kids in the rings throughout Australia. They have amazing bloodlines and bred by a world famous breeder and hall of fame breeder! We have been involved in Australian Shepherds for over 20 years and now proudly a part of Team Jenzsa Miniature American Shepherds and work collaboratively with a group of like minded breeders.

We take pride that we don't just breed fantastic family pets but also put in the extra effort to test our dogs' soundness of mind and body against the breed standard by actively competing in sanctioned ANKC events both in the conformation ring (show ring) and performance ring (i.e. herding, agility, lure coursing, etc). This is in addition to DNA testing, annual eye examinations and hip and elbow scoring that our dogs undergo PRIOR to any breedings taking place.

ALL our dogs live in the family home and not in a kennel environment.

I am so excited to announce that my new French imports, Replay and Tango are the proud parents of 4 beautiful puppies!! Both parents have been health tested for everything, including having their DNA sent to America to test for NAD. They are clear.

Replay has been bred from incredible show winning lines. He is:

- Vice European Champion

- Best of Breed and Winner at the World Dog Show 2023 Geneva

In Australia over his first 4 weekends of shows he gained his Australian Champion title.

Puppies are raised inside my home with the other dogs and cats. I use Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) from day 3-16 and ensure puppies are introduced to new sights, sounds and surfaces to ensure they have the best foundation for when they leave for their new homes. I am always available for any assistance for the life of my puppies. My puppies and my dogs mean everything to me. Temperament testing is conducted for all puppies at 7 weeks.

I have 1 very affectionate girl available on Mains Register for active people who ideally want a companion to do dog sports as well as living inside the home as a cherished family member. Pet only. Not for breeding. Possible show prospect but probably more suited to dog sports where she will thrive. Full DNA available including proof of parentage.
