We take pride that we don't just breed fantastic family pets but also put in the extra effort to test our dogs' soundness of mind and body against the breed standard by actively competing in sanctioned ANKC events both in the conformation ring (show ring) and performance ring (i.e. herding, agility, lure coursing, etc). This is in addition to DNA testing, annual eye examinations and hip and elbow scoring that our dogs undergo PRIOR to any breedings taking place. I have loved and admired "Miniature American Shepherds" for over 30 years, and it has always been on my bucket list to import and breed these beautiful dogs here in New Zealand. It is a long and expensive process to import these dogs from USA - do all the genetic testing + Hips Elbows and Eyes, I now have some beautiful foundation dogs to begin my lines of Miniature American Shepherds. I bought my first dogs for New Zealand in 2018. All my dogs are AKC registered MAS. I have a co-home breeder in Australia as well. We share 7 imported USA dogs. Puppies available

A long time love affair with Australian Shepherds has brought us to our love of the Miniature American Shepherd and our first import into South Australia. From Hampton Hills Miniature American Shepherds comes "Arwen" - Hampton Hills Faith Works @ Windybrae and a wonderful friendship and mentorship with her breeder, Jennifer Hampton. MAS, as they are affectionately known, are becoming a very popular breed in the country for those of us with a love of "Aussies" who wanted something a bit smaller. To have such an excellent quality young dog as a foundation to our small breeding program, is indeed an honour and a privilege. Several people unfamiliar with MAS have said, "Oh, she looks just like an Aussie." Indeed they should look exactly like an Australian Shepherd, only smaller. Arwen has tested clear for Neuroaxonal Dystrophy (NAD) and non-HSF4 cataracts. The rest of her DNA testing has also now been completed and she is completely clear of all inheritable diseases. Eye clearances are done yearly (clear as of June 2024 under the ORCHID/ACES scheme) and hip & elbow xrays are to be completed some time after 2 years of age. In time, Arwen will be bred to imported semen in close consultation with her breeder. Our goal for our breeding program is to produce quality over quantity and dogs that best fit the breed standard and with great temperaments.

She is not as active as other herding dogs, and a lot smaller than I had thought but perfect to size. Starting agility come Feb '24' will be a true test for the stamina of us both. Maggie -Rae 15weeks I have bit more off than I can chew right now keeping two puppies with everything else I have got going on. Maggie is exceptional in every way super loving very placid crate trained, toilet trained walks on lead. Loves the beach just being with you really. Oh and tummy rubs are for sure her fave too. Beautiful black tri natural bobtail male available to active sports/pet home on a not for breeding contract. 5 1/2 months old.
