We live on a 145 acre property just outside Bathurst NSW, we have owned and loved pure bred Mastiff's since 1998. We currently have 6 Mastiff's in our family. Our Mastiffs have been hip & elbow scored and DNA tested with My Dog DNA. Just like the majority of Mastiff owners we fell in love with this large breeds gentle, loyal and calming friendly nature, making them the perfect companion & guardian for our family, and would like to do our little bit to help protect and preserve The Mastiff. Home of Mungo, the first Mastiff to win Best in Show at an All Breeds Show in Australia for over 100 years and first for the 21st century. We only breed from dogs that are hip and elbow scored. Our passion for the breed has led us overseas and made us many friends and contacts. We have produced the first frozen semen litter for Mastiffs in Australia which was from semen imported from USA in conjunction with Yangerdook Mastiffs - this litter was registered under the joint prefix with D. Hobbs ''Yanoor. In spite of our consistent and current top awards at Mastiff specialites, Royals, and in All Breeds competition, we chose to breed our dogs infrequently and, as such, even more carefully select our breeding pairs. We are delighted to announce the anticipated arrival of Lagotto puppies from ‘Sara’ and 'Teddy'. These puppies will be available to go to their new homes late November 2024. We currently have a white male available. Here at Rustufarion we are committed to the health of our breeding dogs and understand the importance this has in raising genetically healthy puppies. Our lagottos have been screened for the known and genetically testable disorders evident in the Lagotto. Screening breeding animals prior to breeding will ensure these preventable disorders do not affect your puppy from Rustufarion. Further health checks of our breeding dogs includes screening for Hip Dysplasia. We do everything possible to produce puppies with sound temperaments and confirmation and this has been factored into the selection of a suitable sire for these puppies. For this reason we also raise new born puppies in our home where they receive constant supervision, attention and interaction within a busy home. During the first weeks we focus on raising our puppies within a warm environment and commence neurological stimulation. Our puppies are pedigree registered with Dogs NSW as well as being vet checked and vaccinated, microchipped and come with 6 weeks of puppy health insurance. Three of our lovely lagotto ladies have decided to bless us with puppies before the end of the year. One litter of six has safely arrived and four puppies are currently available. Mums are brown, brown roan and cream and dads are both brown roan so we are expecting a range of colours.
