We live on a lifestyle block in Inglewood, New Plymouth.

Our Cavalier King Charles and Lowchens are our Life. They live the best life, running around, joining donkeys, horses, cows, goats etc.

All puppies are brought up in our family home in our lounge, our kids play with them everyday and well socialised with dogs ranging from big to small, cats and lots of children.

Mocharaid - Scottish Gaelic for My Friend

Relatively new to the Lowchen after many years of training and competing in obedience and agility with our Australian Cattle Dogs and Australian Working Kelpies. We fell in love with this breed because they are smart, athletic, loyal, and affectionate in a compact package.

We breed friendly companion dogs that bring joy to their families we see it as a compliment when our puppy buyers come back to us for a second pup. Our breeding dogs have been ACES eye tested and patella scored.

Kilgarrin was established in 1971, with our first Lowchen joining our family in 1982. Devon was born with lowchen around her and thus carries the flag for Kilgarrin. We selectively breed quality Lowchen aiming at healthy, well adjusted happy animals for companions, show ring and other disciplines. Our puppies are raised in the house and are well socialised.
