Rustufarion is a small Lagotto kennel dedicated to breeding for excellent temperaments and sound conformation along with correct breed type. Our aim is to selectively breed Lagottos to participate in conformation shows, obedience, agility and most importantly become valued family companions. All dogs included in our breeding program are screened for known genetic disorders and hip x-rayed and eye tested. Our dogs are raised in a family environment and our puppies are well socialised before they leave for their new homes. Rustufarion is proud to be a Advance Ambassador.

I am a Family Dog Home breeder with this being my first litter. My dogs have excellent Lagotto characteristics and my girl is DNA tested and Vet checked. I have been a member of Dogs NSW and the Lagotto Club of NSW for 10 years plus. My dogs have been raised as pets but have participated in small agility and sell activities with the club. Their parents have all come from a prominant breeding kennel with great record. Although my Lagottos were never shown they are loving and faithful friends and Im sure the puppies will make wonderful pets or even show dogs if you enjoy that too.

Castagnetta translates to "Little Chestnut Forrest" which is synonymous with the Lagotto Romagnolo I spent quite a few years researching and learning about the Lagotto Romagnolo before I acquired my girl, Pearl. I have young children with allergies so I needed to make sure the Lagotto Romagnolo was going to be right for our family - having the correct temperament for being around young children and also having a coat that wasn't going to affect the allergies in our family. Pearl (Ch Duoforza Olympia) came to us in 2016 and was raised in our family of 3 young children, a Boxer and a Shih Tzu - she fit in perfectly! I also took the plunge and started showing her, we learnt together and made many mistakes along the way, but it was always fun and we both enjoy it. Three of our lovely lagotto ladies have decided to bless us with puppies before the end of the year. One litter of six has safely arrived and four puppies are currently available. Mums are brown, brown roan and cream and dads are both brown roan so we are expecting a range of colours. We are delighted to announce the anticipated arrival of Lagotto puppies from ‘Sara’ and 'Teddy'. These puppies will be available to go to their new homes late November 2024. We currently have a white male available. Here at Rustufarion we are committed to the health of our breeding dogs and understand the importance this has in raising genetically healthy puppies. Our lagottos have been screened for the known and genetically testable disorders evident in the Lagotto. Screening breeding animals prior to breeding will ensure these preventable disorders do not affect your puppy from Rustufarion. Further health checks of our breeding dogs includes screening for Hip Dysplasia. We do everything possible to produce puppies with sound temperaments and confirmation and this has been factored into the selection of a suitable sire for these puppies. For this reason we also raise new born puppies in our home where they receive constant supervision, attention and interaction within a busy home. During the first weeks we focus on raising our puppies within a warm environment and commence neurological stimulation.
