Aquibella is a Sydney based Kennel run by myself, Athan Lathouras. I am a new breeder but am very lucky to be mentored by the highly regarded Judith Nolan of Incavale.

My experience with Lagotto Romagnolo began in 2017 when I acquired Voltaire from Incavale. He is a well mannered white boy that I took to immediately and nicknamed Aquila because of how majestic he is. We spent many good moments together as a duo but I ultimately made the decision to add a female to our family and in 2020 Urianna was welcomed into our home, her nickname is Mirabella.

She is a smaller chocolate girl with a bit more cheekiness which balanced Aquila's maturity out perfectly.
In between work trips, I fulfilled all the requirements to become a registered breeder and after waiting enough time for Mirabella to grow the two of them finally mated in June of 2023.

I feel very blessed to have a foundation litter of seven beautiful healthy pups and am looking forward to continuing down the path of a breeder and working to produce the best and healthiest pups possible.

We have kept the Lagotto Romagnolo breed for a number of years & there are many Incavale Lagottos competing in conformation shows & other ANKC dog sports throughout Australia and overseas.
Some of our boys & girls are now registered Therapy Dogs, we have a number being used as truffle dogs, some are being trained as retrievers & there are of course others that are family pets.
Most if not all of our mature show dogs are titled & we have younger dogs well on the way to becoming champions.
We breed to the Breed Standard & our dogs are raised in an environment that assures social confidence and good health.
Our dogs are health tested for all known issues affecting the breed. We keep a number of stud dogs & will only breed dogs that have excellent hip & elbow scores. We also test patellas
We have imported a number of titled working dogs from Europe, have imported semen available & keep both locally bred & imported dogs for stud work.
We sometimes have puppies available to select homes and we are quite happy to have visitors interested in the breed, visit us.
It's important for those who have an interest in learning more about the breed to understand that this breed is a working dog breed and it is essential that you have time to train your Lagotto.

Maggie is our first Lagotto Romaglo and has been part of our family for 6 years now. During this time we as a family, have learnt so much about this precious breed. Maggie has amazed us with how true, to the original breed temperament and type she is. Maggie has a colourful and well balance personality and is truly one of the family.
During my time studying animal behaviour, Maggie was used for many conditioning video's and class demonstrations, she not only helped me achieve top marks but she has proved her self to be worthy as a therapy dog.

Rustufarion is a small Lagotto kennel dedicated to breeding for excellent temperaments and sound conformation along with correct breed type. Our aim is to selectively breed Lagottos to participate in conformation shows, obedience, agility and most importantly become valued family companions. All dogs included in our breeding program are screened for known genetic disorders and hip x-rayed and eye tested.

Our dogs are raised in a family environment and our puppies are well socialised before they leave for their new homes.

I am a Family Dog Home breeder with this being my first litter. My dogs have excellent Lagotto characteristics and my girl is DNA tested and Vet checked. I have been a member of Dogs NSW and the Lagotto Club of NSW for 10 years plus. My dogs have been raised as pets but have participated in small agility and sell activities with the club. Their parents have all come from a prominant breeding kennel with great record. Although my Lagottos were never shown they are loving and faithful friends and Im sure the puppies will make wonderful pets or even show dogs if you enjoy that too.

We are delighted to announce the anticipated arrival of Lagotto puppies from ‘Sara’ and 'Teddy'. These puppies will be available to go to their new homes late November 2024. We currently have a white male available. Here at Rustufarion we are committed to the health of our breeding dogs and understand the importance this has in raising genetically healthy puppies. Our lagottos have been screened for the known and genetically testable disorders evident in the Lagotto. Screening breeding animals prior to breeding will ensure these preventable disorders do not affect your puppy from Rustufarion. Further health checks of our breeding dogs includes screening for Hip Dysplasia. We do everything possible to produce puppies with sound temperaments and confirmation and this has been factored into the selection of a suitable sire for these puppies. For this reason we also raise new born puppies in our home where they receive constant supervision, attention and interaction within a busy home.
