The Parity team is a mother/daughter collaboration, and we are based in South Australia. We enjoy our lovely dogs as members of the family. Our lines are based on dogs we have been fortunate to import from fantastic kennels overseas. We are always grateful for co-operation with other breeders here in Australia too, it's great to work together toward improvement of the breed. Those dogs that are old enough have been hip and elbow scored with excellent results. Patellas, hearts and eyes are checked. We use MyDogDNA genetic testing for every dog used in breeding to ensure that our dogs are clear of any known issues within our breed. Temperament is of utmost importance. The Lagotto Romagnolo is an intelligent working breed and, despite their cuddly look, they can be quite high energy and definitely require training and boundaries. As with any breed, remember to do your research to ensure a good, long-term match. Glenstarz is sister kennel to the well known and award winning kennel Glenstar Lagotto Romagnolo in New Zealand, where we breed, show and own the dogs in Australia along side each other. The Lagotto Romagnolo is a small/medium curly coated gun dog originating from Italy. The breed can be traced back several hundred years and is the foundation dog to all water dogs such as Poodles, Portuguese Water Dogs, Golden Retrievers, Labradors, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling retrievers to name but a few.

The breed is not well known in NZ and is often mistaken as a spoodle (gasp).

Our dogs are raised on a beautiful life style block in the Wairarapa.

We adhere to Dogs New Zealand Breeders Code of Conduct. We have health tests performed on our breeding stock as recommended by the New Zealand Lagotto Romagnolo Club.

Because my passion is dog sports, breeding for temperament is of paramount importance to me. I am a trainer at my local dog club and compete in obedience and Rally O.

Once believed to be on the verge of extinction this anicent medium-sized Italian duck dog was granted probational recognition on the international stage in 1998 in an attempt to maintain the breed worldwide,based on the current breed standards we see today this little dog has come along way for sure !
Blessed with our first 2 girls in 2004 from the 1st and 2nd imports into Australia, absolutely taken by their joyful quirkiness and love for life we welcomed our boy in 2005 from the 3rd imported italian line into Australia and with the arrival of our very first litter of puppies in 2006
Luv A Lagotto began its journey as a registered breeder.

Over the years we have expanded on those original bloodlines, adding new bloodlines imported into Australia, in doing so we aim to expand the gene pool for health and diversity while maintaining this ancient Italian duck dog so generations to come may also enjoy this beautiful breed.

Our dogs are happy dogs and enjoy being dogs! running,playing,lazing about with a swim in the dam or the occasional roll in the good old dirt they defiantly enjoying a great dogs life.

Our puppies leave home vet cheched, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and registered with pedigree,Parents are DNA tested,good in hips, eyes and elbows ,healthy and robust but just as import, they have loving friendly natures which makes them great pets
