Litter whelped on 7th October 2022. Potentially 9 puppies available for sale in approx 8 weeks. 5 Black females, 3 Yellow females and 1 black boy with white chest spot. Will be registered (in new owner name), microchipped, wormed as per recommended schedule, vet checked (including 1st vaccination) before leaving to their forever homes. We are a small kennel situated in Manaia, Taranaki. Labradors have always been a part of our lives. We appreciate everything about a Labrador that makes it a Labrador. All of our dogs are part of our lives and we love their devotion, companionship and enthusiasm for all the simple things. We bred our first registered litter under the Targun kennel name in 1987. Over the years we have used our Labradors for duck hunting, training and showing. Our aim will always be to breed beautiful Labradors with great temperaments that are sound, happy and healthy. The health and welfare of our dogs and the puppies we produce is extremely important to us. All of our breeding dogs have extensive health tests, including Hip and Elbow X-Rays, DNA screening and Annual Eye Examinations. Our pups are raised in a home environment and are accustomed to everyday activities and visitors to ensure that they are well socialised and confident when they are ready to go to their new homes. Puppies occasionally available to approved homes. Visitors are always welcome and encouraged to come and meet all of our dogs, by appointment.

We are pleased to announce that Phoebe has had a litter of 9 puppies, whelped on the 22nd of October. The available puppies are a yellow male, a black male, and a black female. The dam and sire are health tested (with good results). This includes hip and elbow scores, annual eye certificates, and full DNA testing. Copies of these health test results are available if requested, and copies given to all new owners. Puppies are registered with DogsNZ (formerly NZKC) in their new owner's name. We choose families for our puppies based on their knowledge of Labrador needs, and the home and love they can provide. We are proud of our puppies, and open to discussions about removing some breeding restrictions for informed labrador breeders. These puppies will be ready for their new homes on the 17th of December. Please note that we never sell puppies as Christmas presents (never - no exceptions). Please also be aware that there will be an extra daily charge for puppies when we are asked to look after them after the 26th of December. We have only one puppy available from our last litter, which was superb, out of a Champion mum (imported from Australia) and sired by semen imported from a Finnish dog. "Bob" is a beautiful yellow Labrador boy who has just turned 10 weeks old and is ready for his forever home. From a top quality litter he is vaccinated and microchipped, and will be registered with Dogs NZ (so will come with papers endorsed "not to be bred from").
