Margembie Labradors has been established since 2004. We are a small kennel, focusing on breeding quality, not quantity. We started breeding when we fell in love with the breed after adopting our first Labrador in 2002. Like many young couples, my husband and I adopted our yellow girl Gemma to start our family together. Our aim is to provide other families the same love, loyalty & companionship we received from our beautiful 'Gemma'. Gemma crossed the rainbow bridge August 2016, 2 weeks shy of her 14th birthday. We were absolutely heartbroken to lose her, but are extremely thankful knowing she lives on through our breeding. Our prefix 'MARGEMBIE' was derived from a portion of each of our names. MAR - from Mark GEM - from Gemma BIE - from Debbie Together we are MAR-GEM-BIE Our dogs are first & foremost our treasured family pets. They, along with their puppies, are socialised & grow up on our 4 acre property with our children aged 10, 8, & 6 years old. Our children adore them as much as we do. Not only do our lovable Labradors make excellent companions, but they are also proven gun & assistance dogs. We aim to breed loving, loyal & versatile Labradors for everyone to enjoy. Our Labradors are PENN Hip, Hip & Elbow scored, & have full DNA, Eye & Cardiac clearances. I am a mad animal lover living with 5 amazing Labradors. 4 chocolates and 1 yellow. My Eldest Buster is now retired. Then we have Bronte, Oliver,Maggie and our new girl Indie. They all live in the house often hogging the beds. We all walk every day stopping off at both dams on our way round the property. They have loving personalities and eat natural foods that I make myself. All my dogs are tested for PRA and EIC. They are all CLEAR! Their eye are checked annully with 10 out of 10 received for all.
