We breed working style labradors for their intelligence, health and athleticism, and that most labrador of qualities, biddability. We currently have 2 breeding age field lab style bitches, and are lucky we have the space to keep our retired bitches and dogs as pets. We aim to breed healthy, intelligent and biddable dogs that fit well into family environments. Our dogs live with us on our 160 acre property, and enjoy walks in our bushland, farmland, and swims in the river on our property. Some sleep indoors, some outdoors, they are in their run when we're out, and when we're home they're usually in the garden or the house with us. They are easygoing dogs ready to get along with any new people or dogs they meet, and to us, that is a big part of what this breed is about. Our puppies are raised in a family environment. All are well socialised with our dog pack and people, including children of all ages, before they go to their new homes. We strive to find good matches in puppy temperament to buyers' situations, and regularly receive positive feedback on how well our dogs fit into their new families lives. We regularly receive positive feedback from vets on the health of our dogs and pups, our ethics, and the efforts we go to to ensure we are providing healthy pups to buyers. Therapaws was born after our family welcomed and fell in love with a beautiful Labrador girl many years ago, who remains the heart of our world and the therapy dog for our child. With the idea of producing the best quality Labradors to enrich the lives of others, Therapaws aims to breed puppies of sound health and conformation but specifically focusses on producing well socialised puppies with outstanding, well balanced temperaments. All Therapaws Labradors undergo health checks, hip and elbow scoring, DNA testing and eye health checks. Our puppies are born and raised inside our home, resulting in them being socialised as soon as they are born to household noises and routines. Our puppies are played with by our children at 3-4 weeks of age to assist them in developing easy going, friendly temperaments. We are a small Labrador breeder, located on a farm on the Bellarine Peninsula, very near Geelong and about 1 and a half hours from Melbourne. Our dogs are our very loved family pets. We walk them daily on the farm and also do many walks down at the Ocean Grove dog beach and take them camping. Phoebe (Silverstream Sweetheart), is a 6 yr old desexed yellow girl looking for a very special home. Phoebe has been a part of the Shadow Spirit Enterprises breeding program but is ready to live the life of a loved pet. Phoebe is up to date with vaccinations.
