Gambamirri is Aboriginal meaning water dog; we are located in the Northern Beaches of Sydney. We aim to produce soundness, quality and the gentle temperament which is found in this loyal and friendly breed. When our puppies leave they have the starting of basic obedience and the handling to become wonderful companions. All of our bitches are hip/elbow x-rayed and scored and DNA tested for PRCD and EIC.

We strive to provide labradors with the most wonderful true to standard temperaments that are suitable for devoted family companions, service work, therapy work and the show ring. Once health is established we breed firstly for temperament. Before having puppies all our breeding animals are temperament assessed, full breed DNA tested and hip & elbows xrayed for soundness. We work closely with our vets and other ethical breeders. We are registered with Dogs NSW and adhere strictly to their code of conduct. We passed our site inspection with flying colours. Our pups are born and raised in our home. They experience household noises and happenings and are well socialised with exposure to children, dogs, cats, visitors, crates training, car rides and toilet training. We start training very early in the puppies lives along with daily cuddles. We believe puppy socialisation and training starts with the breeder and we want to give each of our pups every chance to become a stable and valued family or team member. We start puppies in a good direction but they require ongoing training and love from their new owners. Labradors crave the company of their families and so do not cope well with extended time alone. They often bark excessively and become destructive. Nothing beats the company of a well trained and loved labrador. We are devastated to have to do this, but due to moving house we need to downsize our beautiful labrador family. Our beautiful Jodie is 7 years old and daughter Madison is 5. Both are extremely affectionate and love to cuddle on the couch but also love a long walk and to play with their many toys.
