Collectively as a mother/daughter duo under the Kamahi prefix have over 80 years combined breeding experience, showing and handling to various titles of Australian, Grand and Supreme Champions winning multi Best in Show, Best in Hound Group and Best Class in Show awards at both All Breed and Speciality shows, including Best in Hound Group placements at numerous Royals, under Judges here in Australian and from around the world. Having owned Basset Hounds for over 40 years, our goal is to also help others enjoy the breed. We are located on a small acreage property in South Gippsland, Victoria and our Bassets are part of our home. All puppies have Registration Papers and will leave Microchipped, Vaccinated, Wormed, Vet checked and with a Starter Puppy Kit. We are on Facebook under 'Clementess Basset Hounds' and we are registered members of Dogs Victoria.

Cayugaridge has been breeding basset hounds after competing in the hound ring for over 15 years with standard wire dachshunds and breeding American cocker spaniels for over 20 years in the USA. Our lines are based on imported American and European lines, as well as Australian lines from Beauchasseur basset hounds. We test all our dogs for key basset hound health issues including LaFora, POAG, severe autoimmune syndrome and thrombocytopaenia. We pride ourselves on great basset temperaments, type and correct movement. We've imported and added leading European lines to enhance our breeding program in 2024. We have a litter arriving at the end of October 2024 with Ch Cayugaridge Curacao (tricolour male) x Ch Cayugaridge The Botanist (mahogany and white female). See photos in our breed profile.
