Breeding since 1995. Pups go to pet homes and some do obedience, hunting and showing. We show lightly and have 2-3 litters per year. Our dogs have good hip scores. We have taken 8 puppies through to Australian Champion and 2 through obedience to Open level. Our pups are raised in the house until 4 weeks, then move to a large shed with our other dogs. For 25 years we lived at Gordon near Ballarat. In 2022, we moved to Nagambie in north central Victoria.

Here is a comment from a recent buyer 'He's an angel, such a smart cookie. It feels like he almost understands every thing. He is just absolute perfection'.

We love this breed but it is not for everyone. Vizslas are very active and want company all the time. They don't do well left alone during the day. It is best to have someone at home during the day. Buyers should be prepared to exercise daily and to spend a lot of time with the dog. Vizslas also like another dog for company and will do best if you already have a dog. You can get an idea about the breed by looking at facebook Vizsla pages, but pay attention to the negatives and the positives. Some dogs can be anxious and develop separation anxiety and barking. If you have kids, wait until the youngest is 5 years.

Tobiashund Kennels is located in Gippsland Victoria. We are a Dogs Victoria Registered breeder #3100027964 . We are a family based Hungarian Vizsla breeder.

We have owned and loved the breed for over 12 years and owned gundogs for over 15. Our dogs are well loved family pets having been used for hunting as well as training and competing in numerous dog trials: Retrieving, Obedience, Agility, Rally and Tricks as well as attending Conformation Shows.

Being members of our local dog obedience club since 2006, each of our dogs has attended club for socialisation, fun and development of their skills in our chosen fields.

Our young son also helps us make sure we have well rounded and kid friendly dogs. Puppies are raised in a family environment and have plenty of space to run on our acreage.

We have owned and bred Vizsla's since 1991 with our foundation bitch Klerhunt Sugarloaf Creek (Kiah). Our dogs have always been first and foremost family members. Our current relatives to Kiah are Kuparr, Jyana and Mischka who have excelled in obedience with Jyana and Kuparr gaining their Aust. Championship and Endurance titles.
