We have owned, trained and worked the vizsla breed for over 20 years. Our dogs still compete in retrieving and field trials. Our philosophy is to breed healthy, well-constructed dogs of good working ability and, above all else, superb easy-going temperaments. These are the qualities that enable the breed to excel at showing, obedience, agility, tracking, working in the field or fulfilling the role of a family companion. Our dogs are founded on renowned Australian and imported lines. We breed litters only every other year, primarily for our own needs, and at such times puppies may be available.
Our puppies are very important to us and will only offer puppies to suitable homes, acknowledging that the vizsla is not a suitable breed for everyone. Breeding since 1995. Pups go to pet homes and some do obedience, hunting and showing. We show lightly and have 2-3 litters per year. Our dogs have good hip scores. We have taken 8 puppies through to Australian Champion and 2 through obedience to Open level. Our pups are raised in the house until 4 weeks, then move to a large shed with our other dogs. For 25 years we lived at Gordon near Ballarat. In 2022, we moved to Nagambie in north central Victoria.

Here is a comment from a recent buyer 'He's an angel, such a smart cookie. It feels like he almost understands every thing. He is just absolute perfection'.

We love this breed but it is not for everyone. Vizslas are very active and want company all the time. They don't do well left alone during the day. It is best to have someone at home during the day. Buyers should be prepared to exercise daily and to spend a lot of time with the dog. Vizslas also like another dog for company and will do best if you already have a dog. You can get an idea about the breed by looking at facebook Vizsla pages, but pay attention to the negatives and the positives. Some dogs can be anxious and develop separation anxiety and barking. If you have kids, wait until the youngest is 5 years.

We have owned and bred Vizsla's since 1991 with our foundation bitch Klerhunt Sugarloaf Creek (Kiah). Our dogs have always been first and foremost family members. Our current relatives to Kiah are Kuparr, Jyana and Mischka who have excelled in obedience with Jyana and Kuparr gaining their Aust. Championship and Endurance titles. All our dog are keen to please, easily trained and enjoy the company of children, adults and other four legged friends. They are great travellers and love outdoor adventures especially water activities. We breed to achieve a dark russet gold colour, medium sized deep chested pups with neat feet and great temperaments. Our various litters have gone to hunters, families, show people and obedience people. Our puppies all come with an information booklet, pedigree, microchipped, vet checked, wormed and have had their dew claws removed. We currently have six week old puppies, from our dam EKVAR ARICOCO THE SECRET (Maple) and sire EKVAR FOX ON THE RUN (Fox)
Puppies will be ready to head to their new forever homes from the 6th of July.
