We are proud to have bred and owned Best In Specialty Show and Best In Show (All Breeds) winners and have made up Champions in Fawn, Brindle and Black. LAPSEWOOD GREAT DANES are shown fearlessly under the scrutiny of specialist judges so look forward to the opportunity at Great Dane Club shows which in recent years have attracted judges from the USA, UK and Australia. LAPSEWOOD have won BEST IN SHOW at 6 of the last 7 Great Dane Club championship shows, an accomplishment we are very proud of. Although many Great Danes bred at LAPSEWOOD have a show record that speaks for itself, our priority is to produce sound, healthy dogs with outstanding temperaments that make perfect family companions. We share our 10 acre property in Waimauku which is 30 kms north west of Auckland City with our dogs who all live in as part of our family. We occasionally offer puppies for sale strictly to approved homes and are proud to be founding members of the NZKC accredited breeders scheme. Rory and I have been breeding Great Danes for some 40 years. During that time we have bred many Best Exhibit in Show winners at both specialty and All Breeds Shows,amassing an outstanding record of 77 Best and Runner Up Best Exhibit In Show awards. Congistador is recognized as the top Great Dane Kennel in NZ worldwide, we have won Dane of the Year for the last 14 years in succession, have Owned/ Bred 2 x of the 3 Great Danes to achieve GRAND CHAMPION in this country, also 2 SUPREME CHAMPIONS in Australia, all accomplishing this supreme title with many BEST EXHIBIT IN SHOW and R/UP BEST EXHIBITS IN SHOW awards, bred/owned 42 Champions in New Zealand, Australia and USA. Our kennel was also awarded top All Breeds Kennel 2008 & 2009 on Dogzonline.. We have worked hard over the years to breed happy, healthy Great Danes and health Test extensively with hips, elbows, thyroid & heart. Our dogs are consistently the judges choice in the show ring.We are proud of our accomplishments and enjoy seeing our puppies primarily in loving family homes. It is lovely to have them shown but our priority is first and foremost to make sure our puppies are in excellent family environments . This handsome blue boy who was born on the 09/09/2021, is looking for a loving great home to welcome him as a family member, to be cared for, loved and protected as he deserves. This stunning, solid big boy is the son of our Croatian imported Blue Sire "Luka Sanctus Rochus" and our UK Lines Harlequin female "Aquadane Simply Irresistible". He is a full brother to our two blue girls, which is the reason why we decided to find a new home for him. He has a beautiful friendly and affectionate temperament, loves people of all ages and particularly children and is very friendly towards other dogs, specially to girls with whom he loves to play. This big boy is fully house and lead trained, is obedient and used to city and country life. He has all his worming and vaccines up to date, including an Annual Proheart injection to protect him from Heartworm. He is microchip, health checked, DNA for parenting, hip & elbow tested and had a gastropexy done to protect him from Bloat (GVD). Due to his size and weight, he can only travel to his new home by road and we are happy to organize his shipping. Boss - The Devils Starboy Boss is from our Danetrieve Chantilly Lace and AI Aust Champion Warpaint Devils Advocate. Dob:26/08/22 Boss is a kind natured 2 year old black Great Dane. He is desexed, wormed and up to date with vaccines. We are looking for the perfect family home with children and another dog for his forever home. He is great with children, a talker and cuddler. Loves a handshake, a face rub and playing outside with kids. He is very inquisitive about cats but not tested. He doesn’t like chickens. Boss loves the hose, piggy toys, and is food driven so treats are a great incentive for him. He is good on the lead but does get excited at first. He is crate trained and toilet trained. He has been sleeping outside but makes no mistakes when inside. Boss requires a home with high and privacy fences and lots of love, the family would also have to keep me updated with photos regularly.

Mateo Heaven Sent Our gorgeous and huge boy Mateo is looking for her new fur-ever family. He is 3.5 years old, around 90 kilos and is a very solid boy. He is well behaved and very loving, he would love to go somewhere he can be an inside dog with his family and be part of the day to day with them. Lovely nature, a big goofball. Good with other dogs. He has always lived here with us, and as he was a stud dog, we haven't taken him to parks etc. However we have had many dogs and puppies come and go from the farm and he is gentle with them all, his favorite being our little male corgi named Hopper - waaay tooo cute ! He is not available for a breeding home. A loving home is a must, as well as some experience with this magnificent breed given his size. His sire is a full European imported dog making this guy super impressive in statue and presence. The right home is a must.
