Tarakota Golden Retrievers has been in existence for approximately twenty years. Our Golden Retrievers have been a fantastic part of our family, and because of our positive experiences we have two main reasons for breeding. The first is that we genuinely want to promote the Golden Retriever as a fantastic family pet and companion. Our second reason is that we want to improve the breed standard. This means our dogs can only be used for breeding if they have clear eye and heart certificates, solid hip and elbow scores, a sound temperament, and a heritage in obedience or conformation.

Arushi is a small family kennel and we play and socialise with our pups from as early as possible. Breeding quality puppies with beautiful temperaments.
Our Goldens are very much part of our family and do not live in a kennel environment.
We live on 14 acres in lovely Gippsland which is only a few hours from Melbourne and 10 minutes from Sale.
We are registered breeders with dogs victoria and have been breeding for almost 12 years now.
Our dogs all have very good hip and elbow scores , clear heart certificates and current clear eye certificates.
Our goldens are also DNA tested
Having a litter of puppies is a huge commitment and while we have puppies here everything revolves around them as it should.
We have a wonderful vet who comes to our property and vet checks each litter at 3 weeks of age and again at 6 weeks of age.

As a breeder for 35 years, & an obedience instructor I understand the importance of prioritising temperament when breeding, and of raising a puppy that will easily adjust to family life.

I follow the PUPPY CULTURE program (using their books, videos & a seminar attended) to ensure that pups are provided with enrichment protocols to nurture outgoing, confident puppies that are a pleasure to train and to live with.
