At Talakarli Alaskan Malamutes, we pride ourselves on breeding and showcasing top-quality Alaskan Malamutes with exceptional conformation, temperament, and genetic health. Our dedication to the breed standard and commitment to excellence have earned us recognition in the competitive world of dog shows. With a passion for preserving the integrity of the Alaskan Malamute breed, we strive to produce puppies that excel both in the show ring and as beloved family companions. Our breeding program is founded on the principles of responsible breeding practices and a deep respect for the Alaskan Malamute breed. We carefully select breeding pairs based on their pedigree, health clearances, structure, and temperament. Our goal is to produce puppies with sound conformation, robust health, and the distinctive characteristics that exemplify the breed standard. The health and well-being of our Alaskan Malamutes are paramount. Before breeding, all of our dogs undergo comprehensive health screenings, this includes hip and elbow evaluations and genetic testing for hereditary conditions prevalent in the breed. We prioritize transparency and provide prospective puppy buyers with detailed health information for both parents. We are committed to responsible puppy placement and prioritize finding loving, suitable homes for our puppies. Prospective owners undergo a thorough screening process to ensure they are prepared to provide a lifelong commitment to their Alaskan Malamute companion.

Polarhikes journey begun to develop at the addition of our first Alaskan Malamute, Duke, in 2011. After several years of fostering through a breed specific rescue, we decided we wanted to leave our mark in the malamute community, producing sound, healthy, workable dogs as they had always been intended to be. Our aim was always and will always be to honour our breed standard in both confirmation but also healthy working drive. We actively compete in sports with our dogs. We are very passionate about honouring their initial function as a working dog first. We have run dog teams from 1 dog up to 8 dogs, run 100s if not 1000s of accumulative kilometres in harness. While taking a break from competing over the last few years, you can still find us out on the trails around events to train up our youngsters. Our dogs have really etched their names in the Australian weight pull scene. To date we have titled 6 dogs to their WWPD titles and 3 to their WWPDX. 4 seperate dogs breaking an impressive 1035kgs. Even more impressive, two or those dogs are girls! We are also home to multiple champion/grand champion in the conformation ring. Our dogs have been received well in the show ring especially our foundation bitch Moro who achieved her Grand Championship by 3 years of age. Our goal is to represent this breed for what they are supposed to be, a working breed of tremendous strength, endurance and beauty.

Amaguq is a new small breeder of Alaskan Malamutes located in South West WA about an hour outside of Bunbury. My dogs are bought up on a farm & taught from a young age how to interact with different types of animals, including local wildlife. Most of the time they are free to roam & run around on 10 acres farmland or learning about dry-land dog sledding. I welcomed my first Malamute into my home back in 1999 & have been in love with them ever since, hence the next step into breeding. I have been registered with DogsWest since 2020 & became a Registered Breeder in 2022. I believe in getting the best out of my dogs & they a DNA screened & vet checked thoroughly before breeding or going to their new homes. Puppies will come with a comprehensive puppy pack most of which will be used throughout the life of your pup. My Dam Molly is not a big runner & is actually quite a calm & relaxed dog for her breed & makes her a great Matriarch for the pack. The Sire, Dante is an energetic, goofy boy that loves getting out sniffing & meeting other animals. Our dogs are always part of the family & take part in every part of our life on the farm Alaskan Malamutes have been a long love affair for me & I hope to bring this joy to other families.
