Having worked in Gundog Rescue and rehabilitation for over 12 years in Germany and Southern Europe as well as over 10 years in dog rescue here in NZ, I feel my time has come to focus on healthy, mentally stable and well balanced dogs that are easy to train and a pleasure to live with.

That's how Loewenburg Kennels was born.

Our GSP' puppies are handled from birth and raised on the US service dog curriculum. This will ensure calm dogs at home and at work with a focused mind and eager to please attitude.

My dogs are family first and foremost but we are often found at Conformation shows, Rally O competitions or Scent work trials around the South Island in the weekends.

All breeding's are thoroughly researched and I only breed when I want to keep something for myself. Health and temperament of puppies produced is paramount when planning a litter. Parents are fully health tested (Hips/Elbows, eyes, heart, and full DNA panel as a minimum). I only breed occasionally, one litter every 4-5 years. Enquiries most welcome.

Mum is Ch Ulana Adin Dom NRD NRA (Imp SVN), a very pretty and accomplished girl who has achievements in both the show ring and the field. Ulana has produced a Japanese show champion, another dog close to his show title here in Australia, a well-performed Lure Courser, some very handy young working dogs, and an enthusiastic scent detection dog with great retrieving drive. Despite her enthusiasm to work, Ulana also possesses an "off button" making her a very easy dog to live with.

Dad is from frozen semen of my Ch Oakridge Intercooled CCD (AI) - "Diesel" to his friends - one of the very few sons available for breeding of the late great Am Dual Ch AFC Trekker V Grunbaum UDX TDX MH MX VCD3 CGC - still to date the most highly titled GSP in USA. Trekker's bloodlines are still sought after today in USA, for their ability to produce great bird dogs. The litter that I produced from him were no exception. Diesel himself, titled easily with classes in Group and in Show, as well as winning in both show and performance events on a National level. He produced a number of show champions and Best in Show winners, a Supreme Champion, and a number of stylish and well-performed dogs in Obedience, Field, and Retrieving. He was a stylish, biddable, upstanding and powerful moving dog.
