WELCOME to Charterhaus German Shepherd Dogs

Since the 1950's, the Scott family have been involved one way or another in the German Shepherd Dog scene.

Originally in the UK, where father, David Scott, would be seen with his GSD 'Shan' on trains travelling around the country. In the 1970's The Scott family (David, his mother Violet, and sister Lyn) all played an instrumental part in developing the German Shepherd Dog breed in Australia and New Zealand, bringing in several dogs from the UK and Germany that formed the foundation of the breed for decades to come. This included the renowned Aust.UK.Ger.CH. Rossfort Premonition (often described as a 'Super Producer' of the breed), UK.CH. Rossfort Fluer de Lys and, Aust.UK.CH. Rossfort Marengo.

David and his family later became core members of the Gold Coast German Shepherd Dog Club, bringing on several formidable dogs under their kennel name 'Pan', including Aust.CH. Pan Arctic Explorer, Aust.Ch. Pan North Wind and Aust.CH. Pan Loyal Subject, as well as Tina vom Klosterbogen (Ger).

Now the legacy continues with David's wife Glennys, and their son Darin and his family bringing on a new generation of Scott family German Shepherd Dogs, under the kennel name "Charterhaus"

Their foundation dog Castastar Sariah (Freya), has exceptional breeding, with her Sire being Conbhairen Freddie being put to the very sound Dam, Castastar Nayeli (Xander von Grabfeldgau and Aust.CH. Castastar Evita).

Vonehrlich Kennels were started by Helen & I in 1974 to breed quality animals for Show and Obedience and this is still our objective. In pursuing this passion we have imported dogs from Germany, including Vasall vom Kirschental,who is one of the best bred dogs to come to Australia and his bloodlines are found behind many current prominent GSD's.Most of our breeding stock is related to this sire.
Over the years we have produced many excellent graded dogs including National Bronze Medal winners - Vonehrlich Pasha, Vonehrlich Sonia and a National Reserve Challenge winner - Vonehrlich Elke.We have trialled in the obedience ring to excellent medallion standard.
Vonehrlich Sassi was judged Best Intermediate Dog at the 2018 National Show in a class of 39.
We are members of the German Shepherd Dog Club Of Qld for over forty five years and abide by their Code of Ethics.I am a past President and Life Member of this Club.
