Canicula Kennels' breeding programme is based on pure working line Spaniels bred for their natural ability for hunting and performance in the field. In our breeding we concentrate on superior temperaments with a correct balance of drives using the finest overseas and local lines available. Our dogs excel in traditional gundog Field and Retrieving disciplines, as well as non-traditional dog sports like Agility. Their high drive together with an easy, willing dependable disposition makes them a perfect choice for Service Personnel, Government Agencies, or Professionals working in the scent detection field. A lot of the same qualities like sound stable temperament, and trainability that we revere in our working dogs are equally as important in pets making them suitable for active pet homes. Glastonpark Kennels is owned by Stephen & Lesley Sapsead. We specialize in breeding Working English Springer Spaniels. All our dogs are from the finest Imported and Australian Working blood lines. It is always our aim to breed biddable companions, whether they are used in the field or as a great companion for country walks. Our dogs compete regularly in Field Trials around Australia and have performed very well. We have several litters each year and breed both Liver/White & Black/White puppies. No litters are planned that do not have the potential to produce English Springers for the future of Glastonpark Kennels. Our selections for breeding are made on strict criteria as we breed for a certain type and temperament. Depending on your requirements, whether it's for use in the field or as a companion we may have a puppy available. Having obtained my first Springer pet in 1985, I have successfully shown my team in New Zealand and Australia, breeding the occasional litter. All dogs have their eyes tested and hips scored before being bred from - but most important is of course the temperament. My lines are a mix of Australian, Sandanavian and English. I have a comprehensive breed introduction pack, prepared and fine tuned over the 20 plus years I have been owned by Springers. We have a beautiful litter of liver and white pups with both male and females available. These pups come from some of the best working gun dog lines in Australia. Our pups make excellent gun dogs, detection dogs and loyal companions. These pups will be available to go to their new homes from 2nd January 2025 when they will be 8 weeks old. We currently have a 17 month old liver and white female looking for her forever home. Our dogs are raised with us in our home as part of the family to ensure the best start to life.
