Est 1985. Breeder/Owner/Exhibitor of BISS/BIS winning stock. My aim is to breed happy healthy long living dogs that are sound of mind and body. Our dogs are living well into their teens. All breeding stock is DNA tested. We do not breed often and only when we want something to campaign ourselves. Making up champions, although rewarding, is secondary to finding good homes and as such we do not have contracts requiring people to show their dogs if all they are looking for is a pet/companion. As much I would love to have more of my stock in the show ring, good homes are more important to me than titles. Most puppies go to loving pet homes to people who simply want happy healthy long living dogs. Was the home of AM/CAN CH STARLAINE WEST SIDE STORY (imp USA). He has numerous BIS winning progeny, Supreme Champions and Champions from limited stud work. Sadly he passed away at over 10 years of age in April 2018. We have imported semen from several overseas dogs in our quest to diversify while keeping our Dobermanns true to type. We also have semen from some well known dogs in Australia. I’m Michelle Perfect, and I established Perfex Dobermanns in the USA in 1998. My journey with Dobermanns began on my 15th birthday when I acquired my first dog. After moving to the USA in 1990, I dedicated nearly 30 years to breeding top-winning Dobermanns. In 1998, I bred my first litter under the PERFEX name and continued to selectively breed, achieving remarkable success with numerous US titles in both conformation and performance. My breeding program has produced a DPCA Grand Prize Futurity winner, four all-breed Best in Show winners, and multiple Top 20 contenders, with three dogs eligible for DPCA Legacy awards for their accomplishments as producers. Perfex Dobermanns are also renowned for their excellent longevity. I take immense pride in the positive impact my dogs have made on the breed. A standout is GCH PERFEX CANIS MAJOR, known as Sirius, who has sired 128 US champions, three Grand Prize Futurity winners, and many all-breed BIS winners across several countries. At over 12 years old, he exemplifies the quality of my breeding. In 2022, I received the inaugural Gwen DeMilta Memorial Trophy for Breeder of the Most Successful Stud Dog at the DPCA National. His progeny are registered in the US, Canada, England, Ireland, Europe, and Australasia. Perfex Dobermanns was even featured in The Dobermann Digest. Now, having settled in the beautiful Swan Valley, I’m eager to continue my passion for breeding Dobermanns and remain active in showing and performance events.

To this end we have imported 6 Dobermanns in the past 7 years (5 produced by frozen semen of famous dogs from over 20 years ago). They are true to breed type and as such are stable, calm, devoted, highly trainable and intelligent family guardians. We compete in conformation shows but also Agility, Tracking and games. We have a black and rust male available from our previous litter. As the best male in the litter we have considered keeping this boy for showing and breeding, but after careful consideration we have decided to go on with his sister instead. DOB 14 July 2024. He is a confident, outgoing youngster. He would suit a home as a family companion but also has the potential to be quite competitive in dog sports such as obedience, tracking and agility. His pedigree includes a combination of North American, South American and European bloodlines. Both sire and dam are extensively health tested and we expect this puppy and his siblings to have excellent health and longevity. He is microchipped, up to date with vaccinations and deworming, and is registered with Dogs ACT.
