Polbathic predominantly breeds Standard longs but has ventured into miniature longs. We thank Andrew and Paige McMaster for the opportunity to own one of their Miniature Longhairs, Athelny, thus making her our Miniature Foundation girl.

Dachshar Kennels, nestled in the heart of Tasmania, was founded in 2023 following the marriage of Michelle Booth, formerly of Adstaff Kennels, and Walter Baxter, formerly of Axasash Kennels, known for his work with Shar Pei. As a boutique kennel, we prioritise quality over quantity in our breeding programme, producing a maximum of two litters total per year. We typically limit each bitch to three litters over their lifetime, though more often it is only two. Michelle has been a member of Dogs Tasmania since 2010, while Walter has been involved with our governing body since 2000 with Michelle having been a devoted owner of Miniature Longhaired Dachshunds since 2016, beginning her journey in the show ring with the breed in 2015 and launching her breeding program in 2019. Walter welcomed the breed into his life in 2022, and since then, they have truly captured his heart. Under the Adstaff prefix, Michelle has enjoyed considerable success in both competitions and breeding. Our commitment is to produce healthy dogs with excellent temperaments, strong conformation, and graceful movement. To maintain the highest standards, all our dogs undergo comprehensive DNA health testing for all genetic conditions associated with their breed. As a close-knit family with nine children between us, we often have our grandchildren over, ensuring that all of our dogs are well socialised and great with kids.

We are a small family based breeder in Cooranbong, NSW. Our pups are raised in our family home where they are well socialised and receive full time care and supervision. Our lines have been imported from South Africa from Champion stock. Our focus is on breeding quality companion dogs with good form and temperament. Our pups come with an ANKC Pedigree Certificate (Limited Register), a full DNA profile of parents showing disease free, a microchip, up to date vaccinations, up to date worming, puppy pack (blanket from mum, advice documents, small bag of food etc) and ongoing support. We have 3 of our beautiful babies who will be looking for their home for Christmas. Arwen - female chocolate and cream Gimli- male chocolate shaded red Elrond - male black and tan (with a wee goatee!) All three are really sweet, happy babies who love to cuddle and play! A bit about our breeding program: Our parents are back scored - this is an x ray protocol that looks at the number of calcifications in the spine. The more calcifications in the spine at a young age (2-4 years old), the more likely a genetic risk of ivdd (and therefore that dog should not be bred). We also patella and hip score - all clear. Parents are PRA tested (Progressive retinal atrophy, a type of blindness) to ensure babies aren’t at risk of PRA. Raised in our home, not in a kennel. We use Puppy Culture raising our babies - this is an enrichment protocol for raising babies to expose them to a variety of stimuli (sights, sounds, smells) so they are less anxious and more well-rounded going to their new homes. Puppies will come with limited register ANKC papers (strictly not for breeding or showing). They will have 2 of 3 puppy vaccinations, wormed at 2,4,6,8,10 weeks of age, flea/tick prevention and microchipped. They will be ready for their homes at 10 weeks old, which is around Christmas.

Dogs Nz registered pups ready for new homes as of the 11th December. Available are 2 red girl and maybe red dapple boy. Parents are Nz Champions and mother imported from Australia. Pups will be sold with endorsed papers. Both parents have had full DNA profiles done.

Due to a very unfortunate medical issue in our family, we are having to find new homes for our very beloved Dachshunds. Minnie and Murphy are both looking for the perfect family/families to love them forever. Minnie is our gorgeous, Miniature Long Haired Black and Tan Dapple, Female. DOB: 22/04/2023. Minnie is 4.2kgs. Minnie has just previously had a gorgeous litter of 4 puppies. She was a fantastic mother, and had a smooth natural labour, with no complications. Minnie has been raised in our home with our 2 young sons. She is excellent with children and other animals too. She can be shy at first, but quickly warms up to new people.
