Situated in Carterton, in the Wairarapa region in the lower North Island of NZ I have bred occasional litters of blue roan Cocker Spaniels over the last 25 years, some of which have become Champions in the show ring, some have performed with distinction in obedience and agility, but first and foremost have been treasured pets. Litters are carefully planned incorporating imported lines from the UK and Australia. My cockers are DNA tested and puppies are raised in the home on premium food and with maximum attention to give the best start in life.

Konan is a small show and sport kennel based in Christchurch, NZ. Our dogs are multi talented, exceeding in breed shows, scentwork and other dog sports as well as being lived pets. We have been exhibiting at dog shows and breeding for over 50 yrs. We take pride in producing sound quality puppies with lovely temperaments that adjust into their new families lives with ease, giving years of love and enjoyment. We do the full DNA test which includes PRA and FN to ensure we do not carry those problems in our breeding. We have bred and imported many top winning dogs that have won all breed Championship Best in Show and Reserve in Show, plus many Best of Group ,and many Best in Show Ch Specialty Shows. Some of our bloodlines imported have come from UK, Sweden, Hungary, and Australia These dogs plus other top winning dogs in our bloodlines have all taken their part in the soundness,lovely temperament and quality in the breeding of the puppies we are producing now.

From imported sire Francinis Valentino Rossi from Bencleuch imp UK and a grand daughter of our beautiful Sup Ch Bencleuch Braw Balach imp UK Puppies will come with lifetime support and health check, vaccinated, microchipped and wormed.

These babies were born on 26th September 2024. Sire: Royoni Stand N Watch. Dam: Gunwise With All My Heart Now only 2 blue roan boys are still available! They will be ready for their new 'approved' loving families at 9 weeks the 28/11/24. Gunwise puppies (and their parents) have wonderful temperaments and have been great family and children's pets for very many generations since 1979! These bloodlines are very loving and affectionate "be with you" dogs! They are NOT suitable as "Yard" dogs as this is punishment and misery for them. These puppies have had their first vaccination, are microchipped and vet health checked with an excellent grading at 7 weeks. Pets will be registered with Dogs NSW on limit register (NOT for breeding, showing or export) and come with their own complete diet and care folder (including a copy of the parents DNA "Clear" certificate) and after sales service. Purebred ANKC Registered Cocker Spaniels.  On the 19th of August 2024 we were delighted to welcome a litter of English Cocker Spaniel puppies.  From this litter we have the following puppies available: 1 Blue Roan male 1 Blue Roan female Both the sire and dam are from excellent bloodlines with excellent temperaments. We have tested both parents for hereditary diseases using Orivet. Both the sire and dam are homozygous negative of all traits tested (FN, exercise induced collapse, PRA, AN and phosphofructokinase deficiency). Results will be provided to new owners. The puppies are well socialised and treated as part of our family. They are bought indoors from a young age and exposed to young children and other animals.  All of our puppies are wormed from 2 weeks of age and come vet checked, vaccinated and microchipped. Marty is a beautiful gold 18 month old desexed fully vaccinated young man. Full of love and life. He loves balls, ropes and fetching. (Could easily become obsessive about them). Fairly energetic and very happy and playful with other dogs. Marty is quite smart, loves to please and likes kids and cats. Marty is looking for a family who already has a dog, he has never been without a playmate so would be happier with one. Doesn’t matter if friend is aged, if he gets a bit playful for an oldie, one growl and he’s happy to back off and try again later. Marty has always been an outside doggie, but will probably adjust to indoors given time. He does however require a house yard to play in. An apartment or unit will not be considered for Marty. Marty hasn’t had a sick day in his life and is a picture of health. Beautiful Golden desexed male available. Diesel (DOB: 14/09/2019) will be spending a month at a board and train facility and will be ready to go to his new home in December 2024. He will be delivered to the new owner directly by the trainer. The new owner will have unlimited access to the trainer should you require any advice. The reason for the board and train is because he has grown up on a farm and the trainer is exposing him to city life!
