Amityvalley is a kennel situated in Gippsland Victoria and our beautiful cockers are part of our young family. Our focus is on breeding for excellent health and temperament, ensuring that our puppies grow into healthy, loyal companion dogs. We choose carefully which dogs we select for breeding & breed both solid & parti colours, based on quality bloodlines. All of our Cockers are tested for PRA and FN and their pups will never be affected. We are also in the process of testing our dogs for AON. All dogs come vaccinated, wormed, microchipped and raised with love and care from us and our children. All pups have Early Neurological Stimulation, Early Scent Introduction & Noise desensitisation performed on them as well. This is all in aid of preparing our pups to be suitable for therapy dogs. More than 38 years ago our chosen breed was Irish Setters. We were extremely successful in the show ring with all our dogs quickly gaining their titles; five of seven were of our own breeding. We paused from showing after sending our beloved 'Legendary Mickey' to Finland and moved onto homing Cocker Spaniels. In 2017, after 15 years we eventually returned to both showing and breeding arenas. No puppy farming here, with only three litters in six years, breeding for quality, not quantity. Today our Cloverpark offspring is a blend of Glenbriar and Steinhome (SA) and Britebay (VIC) English Cocker Spaniel blood lines which has produced pleasing results. Our gorgeous Cocker kids are raised in a loving family environment, with both Mum and Grandma eager to nurture them. Puppies are expected in a few weeks from our beautiful Maize who is a very sweet , kind, elegant lady and has been spending all her time committed to loving my grandchildren. She is a very pretty gold lady who loves life and most everything in it. Maize has very little coat and is very easy and great fun to love. I am a show exhibitor and select breeder of solid English Cocker Spaniels (Black, Gold and Black and Tan). My aim is to breed healthy cocker spaniels of the highest quality, temperament and type. To further improve my breeding program, I have imported dogs from both the UK and France. Puppies are bred to produce quality show dogs and to improve the breed, hence I only have limited litters. From these litters however, puppies may be available as loving family companions. Puppies are lovingly raised in our home and well socialised. Puppies are sold on "Limited Register" which means that they cannot be shown or bred with. The Limited Register still allows them to compete in dogs sports such as agility, obedience, tracking, Dancing with Dogs, Gundog retrieving and field trials etc. Of utmost importance is the health and well being of my dogs. At Carawood all my dogs are DNA tested for the main hereditary problems in the breed. Selective and careful breeding ensures that none of my dogs will ever be affected these diseases: PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy), FN (Familial Nephropathy) and AON (Adult Onset Neuropathy). I am a committee member of the Cocker Spaniel Club of Victoria and actively involved with the club. Beautiful Golden desexed male available. Diesel (DOB: 14/09/2019) will be spending a month at a board and train facility and will be ready to go to his new home in December 2024. He will be delivered to the new owner directly by the trainer. The new owner will have unlimited access to the trainer should you require any advice. The reason for the board and train is because he has grown up on a farm and the trainer is exposing him to city life! Marty is a beautiful gold 18 month old desexed fully vaccinated young man. Full of love and life. He loves balls, ropes and fetching. (Could easily become obsessive about them). Fairly energetic and very happy and playful with other dogs. Marty is quite smart, loves to please and likes kids and cats. Marty is looking for a family who already has a dog, he has never been without a playmate so would be happier with one. Doesn’t matter if friend is aged, if he gets a bit playful for an oldie, one growl and he’s happy to back off and try again later. Marty has always been an outside doggie, but will probably adjust to indoors given time. He does however require a house yard to play in. An apartment or unit will not be considered for Marty. Marty hasn’t had a sick day in his life and is a picture of health.
