LeChienRouge is a small show kennel located in the Darling Downs Region. We have been involved in the Dogue de Bordeaux breed since 2005, with two wonderful pet dogues we spent many years learning about the breed and attending conformation shows as spectators. We have also travelled to France to attend the annual Dogue de Bordeaux Clubmatch & Madrid for the World Dog Show, which was a brilliant opportunity to see Dogues from all over Europe and the UK.

In 2017 under the guidance of Kylie and Keith at Bordogue Kennels we had the opportunity to acquire our first show quality Dogue de Bordeaux, Bordogue Coco Lyon. Coco has achieved her Championship title and received some excellent results in the show ring.

In 2019 we welcomed Deturndogues Odin Montpelier to our Kennel. Odin has gained his Australian Championship, received multiple Runner Up Best in Group Awards and a Best Australian Bred in Show Award. Odin finished the Dogzonline Pointscore 2022 as the Number 2 Show Dog of the Year in the Breed competition.

Our home bred Milo has achieved outstanding results in the show ring, receiving Runner Up Best in Show, multi Class in Show, multi Best in Group, multi Runner Up Best in Group and several Class in Group Awards. Number 1 ranking for both the 2022 Breed Challenge Competition and Breed Show Dog of the Year.

We have been Dogue De Bordeaux owners since early 2001. Due to living and working in remote areas, we have not been able to show/breed until recently. Showing is still limited due to work commitments, but has been successful. We place an emphasis on health, structure, soundness and temperament. Puppies are sometimes available to approved homes only, on sale contract and on Dogs Qld Limited Register, with full support from Redsomore. Puppies will be de sexed, partial spayed or sterilized, microchiped, vaccinated, dewormed and vet checked before coming to their new families.

Grandeaux Dogue de Bordeaux are based in the beautiful Gippsland region of Victoria. We are very passionate and devoted to the Dogue de Bordeaux (DDB), falling in love after our first encounter with this guardian breed back in 2007. They are intelligent, interesting, impressive, imposing and at times infuriating….but they are exactly the way they should be.

Our DDBs are an integral part of our family. We have no runs or kennels; our DDBs live as members of the family in our home. They are raised to reach their fullest potential with plenty to do each day from exploring to swimming to playing to sleeping, all whilst enjoying plenty of fresh country air.

We do at times exhibit our dogs at conformation shows but our DDBs also relish the stimulation and challenge of obedience training, and they also enjoy socializing in the community. We have a strong belief in promoting and protecting this beautiful breed. Through careful and selective breeding of our DDBs, our aim is to achieve a high standard in their structure, health and temperament. Our DDBs are true to type, that are health tested and from strong Australian and international bloodlines.
