We show spasmodically when time allows & when we actually get them to shows, they do us proud! We strive to carry out as many health tests as are available & are constantly searching worldwide for new developments in health tests for our beloved British bulldogs. Trying to ensure we breed the healthiest most correct bulldogs we possibly can. Proudly the home of the first BOAS Respiratory Function Tested (RFT) grade O British bulldogs in Australia. ALL our dogs have been RFT scored Full DNA on all our dogs, for several generations, testing for: Degenerative Myelopathy (DM), Canine Hyperuricosuria (HUU), Canine Multifocal Retinopathy 1, only carry standard allowable correct breed colours, Cystinuria type 3, Hip, elbow & spine x-rays, thoracic inlet scores, all airways/palate etc x-rayed/scanned/scoped, heart - Echo/Dop, eye & patella screening/tests, thyroid tests & Respiratory Function Tested (RFT) Happy to chat to anyone about our bulldogs, even if they are just looking for information. We only breed when we want something for ourselves, we have kept or run on a puppy from every litter we have ever bred.

We are a small family breeder, situated on the Sunny Coast / North Bris in Queensland! We have grown up with many different breeds of dogs, but the bull breeds stole our hearts! We have had many years of involvement with Staffordshire Bull Terriers and now French Bulldogs before we also fell in love with our beautiful British Bulldogs Brinkley. We strive to breed quality, healthy pedigree dogs with amazing temperaments & conformation. Our fur babies live at home with us and are smothered with love, which helps us raise healthy loving companions. They are part of our family, we do not have kennels. All our adult dogs are DNA profiled and have been tested for genetic diseases. This helps us prevent any affected dogs! We breed occasionally to retain a pup for ourselves and to produce lifelong pets for families. We are also open to discuss mains for pups going to obedience/show/breeding homes. Knowledge of the history of The Bulldog is very important in understanding why The Bulldog is the way he is. Although the Bulldog is not called upon to bait the Bull now, we must continue to breed to the Standard, while at the same time striving for a happy, healthy dog. How the Standard is interpretated is important. Particular attention should be paid to type, substance, movement and temperament. The General Appearance of the Bulldog is of great importance and the dog should convey an impression of determination, strength and activity. At Modavam Kennels we strive to breed both healthy and happy babies. We are a small kennel who Occassionally have puppies available. We only use the healthiest females and males for breeding with carefully planned matings for the best quality pups we can possibly produce. Only males & females that compliment each other and are DNA tested with great results will be used in our breeding program. Our Bulldogs are raised in a very healthy and happy country environment where they are given every opportunity to grow into their full potential with great country fresh air.

Repeat mating completed TBC 26/8/2023 Small home breeder 8 years our bully kids are pets first - dogs are not I in kennels. All pups sold with Gold Standard Puppy Screening including chest x rays, blood tests and full body systems written vet assessment reports. We are now preparing our own bulldog respiratory function quality assurance program and hope to be able to complete BOAS testing or all our puppies before they leave, and again at 1 & 2 yrs of age. All our dogs have undergone genetic screening and specialist ophthalmologist eye examinations prior to breeding and both parents in our breeding program are DNA clear for diseases that effect the British bulldog breed. We consider ourselves leaders in the bulldog health testing arena and we are very excited to announce that we are getting ready to have all our dogs complete the Cambridge University Respiratory Function Grading Scheme. We are also now working towards the Bronze/Silver/Gold Internationally recognised recommended by the UK Bulldog Breed Council & the UK Kennel Club. All of this testing is now the recommended Health Scheme endorsed Dogs Australia the ANKC governing body and its member body in this state Dogs Queensland.
