Based on a Angus beef farm in the South West of Western Australia, our dogs get to enjoy the high life, their days filled with running in the paddocks and swimming in the dams. Most will be best suited to a rural environment with room to move and someone who is looking for a constant companion/work mate. Unless given a lot of interaction and a "job" to do they are unlikely to be satisfied with suburban/city life. Some are showing promise for dog sport. Previous (or current) Border Collie or working breed experience is a must. Vegas favourite activity is napping, she not only has an off switch but when nothing interesting is happenning she might as well be unplugged. She can be convinced that she's a border collie with food and play but otherwise I'd say she tends towards being a bit of a couch spud. Vega will do anything for food, she acts like she's never been fed and this makes her a candidate for weight gain so you will need to be someone who is willing to say no to puppy dog eyes. Vega was not raised by us but she has lived with us for the last 2 years and has been nothing but a pleasure to have. Vega is crate trained, toilet trained, leash trained, knows basic obedience, is comfortable with grooming and will happily accompany you to cafes, on walks, to the beach, camping, basically she fits in wherever you ask her to. She will be desexed prior to leaving us. Vega has been fully DNA tested, and has had her joints xrayed to confirm she does not have dysplasia.
