Sonstrid Border Collies is located in South East Queensland and our dogs are our family. We base our everyday lives around loving and competing with our dogs in the sports that they love. We compete in Agility, flyball, rally-o, canine disc, tricks and more recently conformation. First and foremost though our dogs are our family and they hang out with us all day inside and outside the home.

We are a small breeder with only the two bitches and our beloved companion boy. Our litters are bred mainly when we plan to expand the family. Our puppies are suitable for active, enriching, loving families and performance homes, with preference being placed to sporting homes.

Our breeding goals are to produce Confident, well adjusted, happy, loving and structurally sound pups to suit the lifestyle of their future homes. We raise our puppies with ENS & ESI as well as using puppy culture methods which ensures your pups best chance at being confident and happy for life. Puppy homes will not be selected until pups are 6-8 weeks old.

All our dogs have Up to date DNA panel testing as well as Hip & Elbow scores at a minimum.

My name is Catherine Bull & my family & I live at Upper Lockyer on 10 beautiful acres, situated at the bottom of a section of the Great Dividing Range,15 minutes from Toowoomba in SE Qld. I am a member of the Herding Sub-Committee for Dogs Qld & am also an Approved DNA Collection Agent for Orivet Genetic Pet Care.

All our dogs have been DNA Full Breed Profiled & are CLEAR or CLEAR BY PARENTAGE of the three genetic diseases NCL, CEA & TNS. All our dogs have been Hip/Elbow Scored with excellent results. All puppies that are bred by me are also DNA Profiled & have a DNA "Parentage Evaluation Report" to verify their Sire on their Pedigree.

Our dogs enjoy herding (all with herding titles), obedience training & we also show in the conformation ring, & are proud of our latest four Australian Champions, gaining their titles in 2014, 2015, 2017 & 2018.
There is nothing better than watching my dogs doing what they were originally bred to do, Herding.

We are situated at Ninderry on the Sunshine Coast.

Our love affair with Border Collies began with Tia, a beautiful Red & White girl that we adopted from our local refuge. That was nearly 25 years ago, when Tia passed away we decided we wanted another Border Collie just like her. We were so fortunate to meet up with the lovely ladies from Bojak Border Collies, where we found Millie. Since then we have increased our Border Collie pack to 5 and have bred Border Collies for the past 16 years.

Our puppies are bred for temperament and soundness to improve the breed and for loving pets that will give their owners as much love and enjoyment as we have had from our dogs.

We are on a small acreage and all our puppies are raised in our home with our other dogs and cats. All the dogs we breed with are fully DNA profiled and tested clear of CEA, CL & TNS, so all our puppies are clear of those conditions by parentage. Our puppies are all registered with Dogs Queensland and are sold on a limited register.

Dunwurkn puppies are raised inside our home, and I follow puppy culture principles. They are raised on a predominantly raw food diet with a small amount of premium kibble.

Basic training is started as young as 3 weeks old, puppies are encouraged to be exploratory around the house each day having little adventures, encouraged to check out new objects and walk over new surfaces, they have toys introduced to the X pen from 3 weeks, toys are regulated on a daily basis which all helps to stimulate their minds... Toilet training is started as young as 3 weeks old, puppies are encouraged to sleep in a crate in their X pen, and come out to toilet...

I have been a breeder of beautiful border collies for 28 years and have met some wonderful people and am lucky to have had many return buyers over these years.

They spend the first four weeks in the house and then have a play area where they are visible and protected.
