Our puppies are $3500 registered on the ANKC limited register unless agreed on mains. All puppies are wormed, vaccinated, microchipped and vet checked. Our puppies come with HUGE puppy pack (RRP $400)

Alll our dogs have had full DNA profile done by Orivet. So puppies will not be affected by the testable hereditary diseases.

Our dogs live on 36 acres with us as part of the family. These puppies will be raised inside as part of the family. Our dogs are brought up around other dogs, horses and kids and are extremely social.

AmigoReal is an Accredited Long Coat Chihuahua kennel in Christchurch, New Zealand. Taking into account the origin of the Chihuahua breed, “Amigo Real” translates as “Royal Friend” in Spanish.

As an Accredited Breeder, we health test for Eyes, Heart and Patellas, which is mandatory for this breed under the Accredited Breeders scheme. At AmigoReal, we go one step further and are currently the only breeder for Chihuahuas in New Zealand testing for Hip Dysplasia, Legg-Calve-Perthes, and Thyroid (T4), which we started doing in 2020. We also DNA test our Chihuahuas with Embark, who check for 206+ Genetic Conditions: 5 Breed-Relevant Genetic Conditions and 201+ Additional Genetic Conditions which includes Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD). As you can see, we stop at nothing to ensure that our Chihuahuas meet only the highest standards.
