Ceugant Beagle are located on the sunny Northcoast of NSW. As you will see when you flick through our website our dogs are our pride and joy, who not only do well in the show rings but are much loved pets in wonderful homes. Ceugant Beagles are not kennelled but contained in their half acre paddock complete with shade sails and single beds (in their 3 bay shed), allowing them to run and play together all day. Due to this freedom they have developed great temperaments, great muscling & movement and they are fit and healthy. Qualities, which have helped Ceugant Beagles attain the success they have had in the show ring, including 6 Best in Shows at Beagle specialties, the best award a breeder could hope to achieve. Winning by all means is not everything, however these shows are a good indication to us that we are breeding the best quality that we can and will help guide us to improve our beagles for years to come. Ceugant does not breed many litters to obtain their quality we just ensure that we study the bloodlines we intend to use for the best quality we can attain. Our 2 sometimes 3 litters a year, are bred with the intention of obtaining a quality puppy to continue in the show ring and to continue the quality of Ceugant Beagles. We are a small kennel based in the Adelaide hills. Our belief is to breed our Beagles for Accent on Quality, Breeding for Excellence in Type, Temperament and Movement. We breed only to better the Breed Our foundation bitch is from the Brialey Kennels who produces top wining Beagles, she became an Australian champion at a young age. Our dogs are DNA tested to help maintain the quality of the breed. Aust Ch Houndbrook Buster Moon (Mr Moo) is our current stud dog. Moo is a top winning boy who only carries PRA in his genetic test. He has Brialey and Lunars lines behind him. Strong boned and dark coated. He won best gaited at the Beagle National 2023 and opposite puppy in show at 11 months old and continues to win in group and show awards. Our recent youngsters from the last 3 litters have hit the show ring hard and are winning huge awards. Aust Ch Houndbrook Giselle, Aust Ch Houndbrook Buster Moon and our newest member Houndbrook Princess Leia. This little girl has one Numerous in Group and in Show awards under local, Interstate and international judges. Baloo is looking for a new home. He is a male tricolour, born 14.08.2024. He has now had all his baby vaccinations, is microchipped and registered with Dogs NSW, and has been regularly wormed. He hasn't made the cut as a show puppy, but he is very handsome, loves cuddles, and will make a lovely new member of your familly. I am waiting for DNA results for his parents, but they are free of the regular Beagle panel traits. You are free to visit, in fact encouraged, to meet and/or collect him.
