We have bred three of only six New Zealand Grand Champion Basset Hounds ever: GR CH Hunterspark Mr Basil;GR CH & Aus CH Hunterspark Mr Sandman; and GR CH Hunterspark Mr Bertie Hunterspark was also associated for many years with Foxhounds and imported the first show Foxhounds into New Zealand in 1988, one of these hounds went on to be the only Grand Champion Foxhound, GR CHc Mingus Hound Hastings imp Aus

At Bayparque we strive to produce Bassets that are sound, healthy and have fabulous temperaments. We have incorporated into our kennel what we believe are some of the best Australian, American and NZ bloodlines. All of these kennels produce consistent winners in the show ring and amazing family companions. All our puppies are brought up in the house and are well socialised with cats and people. I have been involved with Basset Hounds for 40 years and have in that time Bred Australian Champions and Australian Supreme Champions who have won over 30 x Best Exhibit In Show awards , as well as 19 x Basset Hound Specialty Best in Show awards under Australian and International Judges . Welcome to LOWANLONG Hounds. We are a young family located in South East Queensland on a beef cattle property with our basset hounds and dachshunds. We will not be having any litters until 2025. All information in regards to puppies can be seen on our website. Puppies go to new homes no earlier than 10wks of age with first vaccinations, full vet checks, worming, tick and flea prevention - along with generous puppy packs. PET ONLY HOMES. Alice our lovely tri coloured girl is growing beautifully! We have such high hopes for this young lady and she is already doing us proud. Her conformation and temperament are exceptional!

I am a Long-standing dedicated Basset Hound breeder, having successfully exhibited my Bassets at not only Breed Specialty shows, but also All Breed Shows. My first Basset came into my life in late 1969, and for the past 50 plus years, Basset Hounds have continued to be much loved family companions. I am a Life Member of the Basset Hound Club of Victoria Inc, Member of Basset Hound Club of NSW, and a member of Dogs Victoria (affiliated Dogs Australia/ANKC). I am an experienced ANKC licenced judge for Hounds (group 4); Gundogs (Group 3); Working Dog (Group 5) and Non-sporting (Group 7), and regularly judge these breeds, not only in Australia, but also New Zealand, and the USA. I have also judged Basset Hounds at Breed Speciality Championship Shows not only within Australia, but also New Zealand, the UK as well as the USA. Thoughtfully bred, and lovingly raised puppies from health tested parents, are occasionally available to good homes only.

Bassett hound puppies. Ready for their new homes 21/1/2025. Will be Microchipped, vaccinated, DNA recorded, have had a chiropractic visit and have been vet health checked prior to pickup. They will be registered with Dogs Queensland on main register. There are 3 females and 1 male. $4000

We currently have a litter of tri colour puppies that will be ready to go into their new homes before Christmas. The cost of our puppies is $3.500 and that includes registration, immunisation, micro-chipping and vet check prior to departure. We take great pride in breeding sound dogs, and as a result of this have had major wins in most Australian states, with our Kennel name appearing on many winning dogs throughout this country and overseas, which is something we are very proud of. Our pedigrees are of the highest standard and quality, with blood lines including dogs imported from the United States of America, England, and Ireland, and many of our animals living overseas. Some of our more recent successes include winning Best In Show at the Basset Hound National Show held in Victoria in November 2023, Best in Show at both the Qld and NSW Basset Hound Club Championship shows as well as Best of Breed at both shows held at the Brisbane Royal in 2024.
