We have been involved with Australian Shepherds since 2010, our Aussies are brought up on a large property, love and discipline. They have all the space they need to play and work using their natural abilities. Our dogs have sound personality's, beautiful nature and very playful. When we breed we look for conformation, temperament and if the mating will complement each other. Our Aussies are not just our pets or show dogs, they are our family members treated as equals. They are with us through all journeys as we are for them.

Here at Windybrae, we pride ourselves on breeding dogs that are sound and of great temperament. All our dogs are DNA tested for heritable traits and diseases, eyes checked by a certified canine ophthalmologist and hips & elbows scored under the ORCHID/CHEDS scheme. We are nestled in the Mid North of South Australia and occasionally have puppies available to loving homes who can spend time with these wonderful, intelligent, active dogs. I am an Agility Judge and experienced competitor in Agility and Obedience disciplines. Having worked and trained a number of breeds including border collies, my chosen breed to work, train and compete successfully with is working lines Australian Shepherds. In 2019 I was lucky enough to purchase my very impressive bitch Blitz (Blazintails Silversands Canyon (AI) JDX JDO GD) from Lydia Whiteway of Blazintails Australian Shepherds. Blitz is one of The Forged In Silver litter born in late 2019 from carefully selected imported semen seeking to introduce sound, healthy new genetics into our working lines Australian Shepherds in Australia. With Lydia as my mentor, our objective as breeders is to breed with the best matched genetics we can find and to breed sound, healthy, super-fast, athletic, trainable and successful working and performance dogs with great temperaments who are a joy to train, work and live with. We will continue to introduce more lines into Australia in our breeding program. Blitz is the full package. Lydia has chosen an amazing sire for her from a Hall of Fame Kennel and semen was imported from the dog Windmill's The Legend Rolls On. ALL PUPPIES FROM OUR OCTOBER 2023 LITTER HAVE BEEN SOLD. 2023 litter are all shaping up to be amazing, athletic, intelligent and strong pups with very high drive and speed. Semen may be available in the future to the right breeders with all genetic and health testing available.

We have a litter currently, ready to go early January, variety of sexes and colours. Puppies are raised guided by Puppy Culture methods and are matched to appropriate homes dependent on activity level and temperament. These pups should be highly trainable and there will be some suitable for performance or active homes. Will be vaccinated, wormed, eye screened by an ophthalmologist and vet check prior to leaving. Parents have had all required health testing and copies of certificates are included in puppy packs that go home with your puppy. Mature red tri female with a long bob tail will be looking for new adventures in February 2025. Registered ANKC. Maddy is a sweet natured and very loyal girl who has been raised on a farm and is obsessed with the side by side buggy. She adores going for rides, and will sit on it for ages even when it's not moving, just in case it goes somewhere without her ;) Maddy would ideally suit a lady owner, as she is not overly keen on human men, though she is fine to be handled by male vets etc. She does consider herself something of a watch dog and will bark at strangers to her home, and for this reason I feel that Maddy would best suit a home on acreage as she will probably be noisy with suburban foot traffic walking passed her gate if left to her own devices. However she could also suit a travelling home as she is easily controlled and polite when her human is present. She is gentle in her behaviour, good in the car, good for the vet and crate trained. She is social with other dogs in the home/friends however has never been to an off leash dog park. Maddy has been living with a family but their circumstances have changed and sadly she needs to find a new home. She is currently in season and will be desexed in January and will be ready to go to her new home after. Updated photos to come.
