We breed from only exceptional lines to bring lovable, well-mannered, intelligent dogs with a great charm. 'Wakatabu' is intentional about honouring each pup's temperament & character & we run pups through a specialised curriculum before matching them to their furever home. Therefore, 'Wakatabu Golden Retrievers' adhere to ethical & responsible breeding guides outlined by TAS CANINE ASSOCIATION INC. & expect for our new owners to take like prideful ownership. Precious, purposed & bred for maintaining the quality, health, welfare & soundness standards. All ‘Wakatabu’ puppies are vaccinated, micro chipped, wormed & vet checked. Many of our goldens are used in therapeutic settings; providing a gentle 'other' (non- human) presence. Pups may also embark on their personalised journey of a therapy or companion pet, a show supreme winner; if not embarking on the best role of 'best mate.' We are excited to announce a successful mating; with a ‘breeding tie’ on 26 Nov '24. Therefore, if all goes to plan, we can expect puppies due date on 28th Jan. Breeder's Notes

Offering emotional & therapeutic supports and to this day, my beloved GOLDIES play beautiful roles in the areas of animal assisted services. I was gifted my first Golden Retriever at 13 years of age as a ‘coming of age’ celebration. Over 25 years later, I have continued to learn and develop my expertise and experience as a Professional Breeder. I continue to improve my learning by attending breeding and training conferences that equate me to one of Australia's leading breeding programs. I have taken particular care in preparing your puppy for re- homing. From neo- natal around the clock care through to a gradual increase of "tolerance training," Puppies are raised with careful attention to their canine needs. Including optimal health care, intentional handling that includes purposeful times of exploration, and an introduction to training that aligns to their developmental benchmarks. Between the ages 6- 8 weeks, pups have all experienced varying degrees of separation from the litter. They have had car rides, shop visits and are included in my therapeutic work with clients. As well as visits to aged care and disability services- Always a huge highlight and greatly adored by everyone. Wakatabu puppies are not only bred well, but raised to be healthy, happy, and well-adjusted puppies.
