Ivy was my INYA FACE dog ... no matter how many times she was told to bugger off she would come right back inya face smiling with her pearly whites showing and wagging her whole body as if to say “ I know you don’t mean it !” .... if you dare to tell her to bugger off again she would return with a mouthful of cheek ... didn’t matter how blue or down in the dumps you felt IVY was always the clown able to make you smile ... though out her life she caused very litter drama and was a very uncomplicated dog just happy to live life to the fullest ... she never partook of any fights unless she thought there was a need to split up proceedings ... she scared the hell out of me once or twice by doing a disappearing act ... once from a Jan's place in Melbourne ... not to be seen for many many hours and then to suddenly reappear smiling and wagging her tail like nothing had ever happened ... there was no fence that could keep her in (or out) if she really wanted to be on the other side but thankfully she always came back .... what I will miss most is her insistence of always being not more than a few inches from us at meal times waiting for her share from our plates or demanding her cup of tea or coffee ... and always willing to try anything we were eating .... she was one in a million ...
The tears have not stopped flowing .... we miss you old girl and there is a big hole in the house today that no one could ever fill ...
