Spain isn't necessarily the first place you'd think of to import a Leonberger from but it's where I had to go to find some of the old French lines and it was here I found Tiana's breeder Gemma, who was not only preserving some of these French lines I was after but also willing to send to Australia, and a wonderful person to boot . We had a few hiccups, with another dog being run on and prepared for export but had to pull the pin on that one and switch him for Tiana. I can't thank Gemma enough for running on 2 dogs essentially and sending Tiana here and being so great to work with and navigate our way around an import rule change half way through . Tiana landed here in November 2023 and has settled in well. She has slotted right in with my wild crew.
