Boudica come to stay with us at 8 months of age, she was my loan dog! She had her very first show at the EKKA in 2019 where she was 8 months old, there were 13 entries, which included her mother, grandmother and her sire, Boudica was Runner up Challenge bitch for a large entry and then went on to beat her Dad for RUNNER UP BEST OF BREED.. We were surprised at how well she showed and handled the big noises and pressure, she loved it. Boudica actually loves being a show dog, she has her happy face, pricked ears and her wee stump flagging as she struts around the ring. Boudica has now won Best Neuter in show at the Cattle Dog and Kelpie Club Specialty show 2 years running, 2023 & 2024 against strong quality competition. Boudica has Qualified for QLDS " 2024 Neuter of the year " Prestige show but unsure if we will go at this stage. As soon as Boudica was in our name, we desexed her. (November 2022) We adore this girl as our pet, but we only believe in Breeding Quality and Breeding to improve the breed, Unfortunately Boudica's mum had severe health issues and the 3 Litters Boudica had were very average, her owner forced her to be bred with for $$$ with no respect for this sweet girl. (Not bred with by me) I'm pleased we saved her, and have given her a loved and adored life with us until the end of hers hopefully at an old age, and hopefully with no Seizures. Now she's retired on the Lounge...she doesn't like to do too much, and we show her once a year for fun. Boudica enjoys going to Bunnings, Swimming , car rides, sheep herding and hanging out with us.
