We welcome "Kruze" to our household and showteam. Many thanks once again to Alison Marett and Takoda Kennels for allowing him to join us here in the South Gaining confidence and maturing nicely we look forward to a successful show year with Kruze next year. Already attaining baby and puppy of group awards and lovely comments from judges Kruze has won 2nd place in the CKA Grand Puppy Stakes from 61 entries! He has consistently placed in puppy stakes most of the year. He has also won his first challenge so we are very proud WINNING cc number 2 and 3 in style in Ashburton with 2 best of breeds, 2 Junior of groups....1 Best of Group and TWO JUNIOR IN SHOWS!! Nelson Ladies Kennel Assn....Kruze wins a BEST of Group and two Reserve of Group wins as well as the all important 3 more dog ccs and best of breeds! One of two moved for Junior in show....so coming on nicely! Best of Group under Samantha Diggins (Terrier specialist) and JUNIOR IN SHOW under Shona Prebble! on August 12th!! TITLED ON 12th August!! 2 more ccs in Dunedin and a Junior of group.... Best of Breed, NZ bred of group and then NZ BRED IN SHOW on September 2nd! KRUZE wins Best Junior in Show at the SCSBTS Cash n Sash Show under Duncan McAllister (Aust)! Brindle male with strong head, would like a little more stop and slightly shorter muzzle, well developed cheeks, rose ear. Powerful neck on straight legs into tight feet, good spring of rib carried well back into moderately short loin. Tail set and carried well, short hock, would like more strength in rear but he is only a junior. Balanced overall and moved out freely. Kruze wins a RUIG in Dunedin, his first DAY in the Intermediate class....! Kruze wins ROB to bigger "brother" Deacon at the first Champ show of 2019 and goes on to Intermediate of Group! 2 more Intermediate of groups follow. Then Best of Group under Lianne Rowles (aust) and Intermediate in Show under Caron Ellis (aust) in Oamaru! Best of Breed and Intermediate in Show under RC Williams (Usa) at the CCTC Championship Show Kruze wins again the following Sunday....winning Best of Group, Intermediate of Group and on to INTERMEDIATE IN SHOW under a pair of lovely Canadian judges.... INTERMEDIATE IN SHOW under Bill Smith (Aust) Best and Intermediate of Group under Diane Tyssen(NZ) Best and Intermediate of Group under Denise Smith(Aust) and INTERMEDIATE IN SHOW under Diane Tyssen ( NZ) in Nelson! Another dog cc over Easter weekend plus a huge Runner up of Breed with THIRTY dogs!, and a wonderful back to back INTERMEDIATE IN SHOW under Helen Wall (UK) and Rachael Bawden (Aust) at the Mainland Staffordshire Bull Terrier Society Shows in Chch. Kruze attended our first Northern Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club show and won Intermediate in Show under Fiona McBride (Vic).... Critique: Intermediate Dog 1st CH TAKODA CLASS ACT. 30/11/2016 owned by S Vermeer Typey B/brindle male with a clean head, dark round eyes tidy rose ears, well developed cheeks, clean muzzle, correct dentition, strong underjaw, well boned, both scapula and humorous a little straight needing a little more prosternum, up on pasterns with well padded feet, muscular neck into clean shoulder, very good topline close coupled, well angulated muscular hindquarters, with correct tail set and carriage. Presented in fit condition. Moved well with correct tail carriage holding a level topline, awarded INTERMEDIATE IN SHOW A HUGE Best in Show ( all breeds) on August 10th, win under group judge Wendy Hicks as the group judge and Polly Middleton as the Best in Show judge! WOW! Intermediate in Show under Keith Brown after winning the Terrier group under Polly Middleton on Sunday! BACK TO BACK ....Best Intermediate in Show awards at the West Coast Kennel Assn shows mid October under Stephen Schwerdt (Aust) and Gordon Rumpler (NZ)!! First full weekend in the Open Dog class and Kruze wins Best of Breed, Reserve of Group/Open of Group under Mr Jong Min Lee (Korea) Kruze wins Reserve of Group under Susan Brown (NSW) at our local shows in Ashburton in late February! She had wonderful things to say about our special boy.... Best of Group and RESERVE IN SHOW under Kathleen Hardwick. Best of Group under Giselle Jeanes Starting 2021 in style winning a Best and Open of Group at show 1 in Geraldine under Wendy Hicks (NZ) Reserve and Open of Group under Yvonne Smith (NZ) the following weekend at Banks Peninsula show 2. Best of Group and Open of Group under Gordon Rumpler (Terrier Specialist) in Dunedin, March 2021 Limited showing in 2021 due to Covid 19, NZ judges only and clubs only being allowed 1 championship show until April 2022 means that Kruze will sit on 41ccs for a while longer! We are hopeful of a return to normality next year. We thank all the judges who have thus far thought so highly of our special boy Kruze. Kruze wins NZ Bred in Show under peer Judge Gay Meredith at the Mainland Staffordshire Bull Terrier Society Championship Show and then Reserve Dog under peer judge Kirsty Morton at the Northern Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club. Wonderful to be recognised at breed level! Runner up in Show and Open in Show at the Southern Cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier Open show under terrier specialist Zeta Jordan. Kruze has just attained his Gold Certificate of Merit. Still very competitive at 6 years old. Best of group at Southern Ladies Kennel Assn under Sue Packer( Aust) in December 2022 Neutered mid 2024 and completed his neuter title journey on his 8th birthday 30th November 2024.
