We are a boutique breeder located in Colac, Victoria. I started Blackwynne because of a lifelong love of the German Shepherd Dog. I grew up watching my father compete in obedience trials with our beloved pets. At Blackwynne, we specialize in breeding old-style German Shepherds with straight backs, heavy boned structures, and blocky heads. Our commitment is to produce dogs that excel in temperament, function, form, and intelligence. The health and well-being of our dogs and puppies are our top priorities. All parent dogs are hip and elbow scored and DNA tested to ensure the highest standards of health and genetic integrity. Our puppies are raised in a stimulating environment and are well-socialized to ensure they transition seamlessly into their new homes. Our German Shepherds are versatile and thrive in various roles and settings, which could include: loving family pet, family guardian, service or therapy dog, obedience, agility, tracking and Schutzhund etc. We offer lifelong support to families who adopt one of our puppies, reflecting our commitment to their continued well-being and success in their new families.
